I've been hearing about this magical rogue planet for years and years. I
think the conspiracy theories have peaked out during the last 10 years
or so, but what gives? This mysterious planet that supposedly wreaks
havoc on Earth every so many thousands of years, is really getting old.
Astronomers reject the idea of Nibiru, and have made efforts to inform
the public that there is no threat to Earth from "Planet X," as they
point out that such an object so close to Earth would be easily visible
to the naked eye. Regardless of that, online theories continue to spread
like wildfire.
The photos of Planet X are ridiculous, as well, as these conspiracy nuts
think that Nibiru is constantly hiding behind the sun. That isn't even
possible, due to its supposed oblong-like elliptical orbit that flies
around two suns - one being from a distant solar system or whatever.
What? Did it get behind our sun and just stop during the last 10 years
or more? LOL! A planet such as Nibiru would create noticeable effects in
the orbits of the outer planets. Most photos showing "Nibiru" by the
Sun are due to a damn lens flare, and they even go to the extremes of
taking pictures through red-colored filters, as if that is an actuality
that portrays real life. LMAO!
Is it really possible that hordes of galactic barbarians really inhabit
Planet X / Nibiru while living on a diet of frozen doughnuts? Do they
have bad intentions and/or hate the Earth people now? Are they actually
just a bunch of space monkeys that ultimately altered our DNA from dumb
to dumber? Ha-ha! I'm an actual extraterrestrial that used to live on a
planet that orbited the dying star of Betelgeuse, so please take heed to
anything I say of this nature. Nibiru consists of a bunch of wannabe
imbeciles, and their hopes of life via geothermal heating envies and/or
"tries" to rival one of Jupiter's moons. Yeah, tell them to go to hell!
Ha!
Side Note: Oh, in case you actually take this asinine Planet X conspiracy subject seriously, I will provide a couple resource links below, that relate to the "What's up with the nonsensical Nibiru?" gobbledygook:

Where did the story of Atlantis really come from?
This is a classic tale, legend, and/or myth. The story of the "Lost City
of Atlantis" has been around for a very long time. Most people
generally say that this was all dreamed up by Plato. According to
Plato's account, Atlantis once occupied a large land west of the Strait
of Gibraltar. Plato spoke of an advanced race that was wealthy in food and
supplies as well as technology. He also went on to mention that the
people of Atlantis could wipe out any army known to man, more or less.
However, Plato said that he got the story from Socrates, who heard it from Solon, who was told the story by the ancient Egyptians. Oh, dear... Something tells me that the story changed a great deal before Plato got a hold of it; ha! Okay, now take the story of Atlantis from there, from where Plato had it, regardless of if he made it up or not. Over the years, I have heard various versions, all changing to better suit the time, place, condition, and the actual storyteller at hand. I've heard variations from supposed prophets and even from people like Edgar Cayce, for yet another example. I have heard that the lost city of Atlantis sank close to the Bermuda Triangle all the way down to Lake Vostok in Antarctica. Wow! I have heard of it consisting of mythical Gods all the way down to an intellectual race of extraterrestrials that took advantage of crystal technology.
Do I think that advanced races of beings once lived on this lovely blue planet for a short while before they vanished? Yes. Do I think the story of Atlantis is accurate? No.
Image Credit: My own photo of a bunch of random rocks. Maybe they came from Atlantis. Ha!

Fact or Myth: Ancient Egyptian Electricity
I've been studying this subject for a while this afternoon, and as much as I'd like to claim that the ancient Egyptians had electrical devices and/or advanced technology that involved electricity, I can't. I'm not saying that I don't believe that there was an advanced civilization(s) from long ago that once dwelled on this planet before ultimately destroying their selves or sunk like the story of Atlantis or perhaps left earth via advanced spaceships. None of that is important right now, as this subject is about if it's just a myth or an actual fact that the ancient Egyptians had electricity.
Anyway, I found a couple decent resources online that covered the primary possibilities and one of them had elaborate explanations why all of this is just a myth and was dreamed up by hopeful romantics, more or less. The first page/resource was obviously from a "believer" in ancient Egyptian electricity. Their page was called "Ancient Electricity - Top Ten Contenders." Out of their top 10, only a couple even remotely had a chance. Those were their sections that covered the "Baghdad Battery" and the "Electroplated Artifacts." This is not really the resource I'd recommend, but if you are interested in their views, you can go here: www.aquiziam.com/ancient-electricity.html [Link is no longer valid]
This next resource is more elaborate and scientific. They cover the famous "no soot" concepts and the Baghdad battery impossibilities and much more. Oh, I almost forgot. One of the biggest subjects that this ancient electricity subject often spawns from, is the 'Dendera light' theory. The 'Dendera light' is a term used to describe a supposed ancient Egyptian electrical lighting technology depicted on three stone reliefs in the Hathor temple at the Dendera Temple complex located in Egypt. I also used it for the photo in this post. I've seen both sides of the interpretations from this depiction, and I'm yet to see how it represents ancient electricity. If you have followed many ancient carvings, drawings and hieroglyphics, you will know what I mean.
Now, back to the main subjects at hand. The Baghdad batteries just don't have enough juice, even if it was operational. The guy reconstructed one or more of these things and came to the conclusion that one 1-Watt bulb needs 40 of these ancient batteries per working day. Yeah, all for 1 watt! He also figured up that each worker would need a lamp with 10 workers per each site for 2 years and that it would equate to 292,000 batteries with a total weight of 584 tons! Then, if you factor in the 400 (or thereabouts) underground sites in Egypt, you would then need 116 million of these Baghdad batteries that would approximately weigh 233,600 freakin' tons! Think about all of the scrap iron and waste material that we would have to find nowadays, if they used those particular batteries to power light bulbs. Yikes! Anyway, just that mathematical reason alone, pretty much debunks the ancient battery notion, in my opinion.
Then you have the extremely popular "there was no soot" found deep inside some of these sites. Here's a quote from a famous material expert on this subject: "The absence of smoke-blackening in the tombs of the kings is also no difficult explanation. If olive-oil is used, there is very little smoke, and a suitable covering over the lamp, for which various methods readily suggest themselves, would very easily prevent carbon being deposited on the ceiling." In a thumbnail, even the author of that web page said: "There is soot, although the Egyptian lamps were almost sootless and even buildings in no need of artificial illumination contain soot. This whole argument is as wrong as an argument can be." Either way, this is by no means evidence for artificial lighting methods. If you'd like to read an elaborate, highly detailed version, go here: www.world-mysteries.com/sar_lights_fd1.htm [This link is also no longer valid]
By what I've read in the past, most of the chambers and passages in the Egyptian pyramids were built in open ditches anyway. They constructed this stuff in broad daylight! However, you have the right to believe whatever you want to believe. When it comes to ancient Egyptian electricity, fact or myth, I'll let you decide; cheers!

Metaphysical Offering Bowls
These things are so cool to look at - and use! If you are wondering how you would use them, I'll explain that in a minute. Anyway, back when I first started collecting various rocks, gemstones, crystals and metaphysical tools (just for decorative purposes), I stumbled upon some brass/copper offering bowls. Of course, they can hold anything you want to fill 'em with, but they are generally used for metaphysical rocks and relaxation methods. You simply buy (or find) tiny chips (or small rocks) of the metaphysical stones you desire and fill these offering bowls. I selected green stones for one of mine, and I use the other one for miscellaneous crystals, etc.
After you have your cool gems in there, you dip your fingers into the offering bowl and then slowly pull back while gently releasing the rocks and/or letting the stones fall from your hand and back into the bowl. Repeat this process over and over. It is actually fairly relaxing and suppose to help relieve stress, sort of like Chinese Medicine Balls without the balls. LOL! At any rate, I provided a couple pics of these offering bowls, up above. The first pic shows what one looks like when filled up to the proper level, and the other one is a close-up shot of the bowl itself; cheers!

Side Note: This is more or less a comment, but what's the difference? Anyway, it has been several years since I posted this, but I went back and was looking at all the traffic stats for each post on here. Out of all the posts on this blog, there has only been 2 others that had less traffic than this one. Actually, it was just 1 other post because the other one was the freaking Introduction post; ha!
So, with that being said, I might as well link to the other least visited post, here: Creation Myths - Ancient Greek
I guess the only thing learned from this side note is that evidently not too many people out there are interested in metaphysical offering bowls. I hardly even pay attention to ones I have these days. I think they may be more appropriately called metaphysical "dust collecting" cups. Hmm, maybe that is what these offering bowls really have to offer? Ha-ha!
Fairy Orb - Spirit Ball - Witch Ball
These cool hanging ornaments are called many things, but I selected the
three most common names for the title: Witch Ball, Spirit Ball, and
Fairy Orb. Anyway, when you hear the term 'witch' one may think it
involves something negative, but the witch ball originated from groups
of people with customary beliefs involving "good" witches. They were
considered a blessing and these witches would usually "enchant" the
balls, like the one shown here, to give it the properties it needed to
ward off sinister spirits and to deflect nefarious intentions,
negativity, evil spells, sickness, and so on.
These fairy orbs are traditionally blue or green and made from glass, although I found a wicked purple one several years ago. They can be many different colors and made from different material, but these are the most appealing in my opinion. These spirit balls are another thing that I would just buy for decorative purposes, but some people have them for their mythical, supernatural claims. Speaking of claims, some people think that today's ornamental Christmas balls that many folks hang from their Christmas tree, actually spawned from these fairy orbs or spirit/witch balls.
I would normally hang these from the ceiling, but for better lighting conditions, I moved it to a lower location for the photos. The 2nd pic is a close-up shot of this nifty little glass globe. You can click the images to enlarge for a better view. Well, that's all I have to say about this subject; cheers!

Popular Posts of 2012 - 13
Since this blog hasn't been updated in a long while, except for the post I did today (Dream Catchers & Witch Balls), I thought it would be a good time to do a popular post entry. This is where I dig up a bunch of old traffic stats, and see which posts have been visited the most. To make it easier, I'll just do a top 5 list, below:
1) Incas - Sky Gods - was in the lead by a large margin at #1. I never understood why that relatively simple, short post got so much traffic. I suppose that either a lot of people are curious about the Incas or perhaps just have a thing about Sky Gods, who knows?
2) The Legend of Mel's Hole - is a humorous post about an asinine legend. Some people really take Mel's Hole seriously, while I can't help but laugh. There for a while, it was getting the most traffic, but over time it slipped way down, although it still came in 2nd.
3) Poseidon - The Flood - Athens - is a post that received a decent amount of traffic during the last few years. It is a shame, though, because I wasn't very elaborate on that post and, really, it just wasn't very good. It was an old "filler" type entry I did on the beginning when starting this blog, and I had no idea that many people were interested in Athens or Poseidon. I can see searching for ancient flood stories, myths, etc., as I meant to do a post about ancient floods, but never did.
4) Mermaids - Aquatic Femme Fatales - is one of those posts that just set there for a while, then all of a sudden started getting a fair amount of traffic. Thanks to the fictional documentaries about Mermaids on the TV Series known as Animal Planet, it helped arouse the interest of many folks that normally wouldn't be searching online about mermaids. Oh, by the way, I'm still waiting for those real-life stories about mermaids, in the comment field... LOL!
5) Mysterious Pyramids of Giza - comes in at 5th place. Although this blog has a lot of interesting stuff on it, most of them didn't make the list as far as traffic is concerned. However, it comes to no surprise that many people are still out there searching and reading about the ancient pyramids from Egypt.
Well, there you have it. For whatever reason, those were the top 5 most popular posts for 2012 - 13. Hopefully, in the distant future, I'll have time to update this site with some fresh content that relates to myths, legends, and folklore. Cheers!

Witch Balls & Dream Catchers
The other day I was looking around in my room at all the interesting things I have bought over the years. You know,
stuff like ancient Egyptian relics, metaphysical crystals and healing stones, infinity mirrors, dream catchers,
etc. Then, I ran across this purple ball I used to hang from the ceiling. It had a very peculiar design on the
inside of the sphere, and I was trying to think of what it was called. I remembered what this purple ball was for,
which was to remove evil spirits by trapping 'em, not that I believed it would do such things.
So, I did a quick web search using the terms "a ball that removes evil spirits" and within no time at all, I found out
this purple globe-shaped thingy was considered a witch ball. I was thinking, a what? Witch Ball?
I bought that thing in the past, merely because I liked the way it looked, and I've never really been big into superstitions. Now, I must say, regardless of the myths and folklore surrounding these objects, the witch balls are rather attractive - at least most of the ones I've seen. If you're interested in the history of them, I'll provide a resource link in a moment. At the end of this post, you can find additional shopping links to aid in your online search for dream catchers and witch balls. Plus, these items make great gifts for the hard-to-shop-for people.
Anyway, per myths, legends & folklore, the Witch Ball is used for protection against evil spells, witches (Yeah, what about the Bell Witch? Ha!), sickness, bad luck, and negativity. Traditionally, Witch Balls are hung in an east window. However, any area around your home or even outside, is a good spot to place a Witch Ball to deflect negative energy. Witch Balls have had many names and different legends surrounding their existence. Each name has been used depending on their use or time in history. A few of these names are Fairy Orbs, Pond Balls, Spirit Balls, Friendship Balls, Good Luck Balls, Globes of Happiness, Gazing Balls, and Butler Globes. If you'd like to read more about all of these along with the legends attached to 'em, visit: http://www.sunnyreflections.com/witchballs-legends/ (link is no longer active)
I'd say that Dream Catchers are far more common than Witch Balls, at least in a commercial sense. The history of dream catchers goes back to how the Native Americans believe that the night air is filled with dreams - both good and bad. The dream catcher, when hung over or near your bed while swinging freely in the mystic air of darkness, catches the dreams as they flow by. Supposedly the good dreams know how to pass through the dream catcher, slipping through the outer holes as they magically slide down the soft feathers so gently that many times the sleeper does not know that he/she is dreaming. The bad dreams, not knowing the way, get tangled in the dream catcher and perish within the first light of a new day. Wow! Now doesn't that sound cute? Ha!

Abominable Snowman - Yeti Monster
This unknown creature that hasn't yet been proven to exist, other than from hearsay, folklore, and wild claims without proof, is believed by many to be some giant cryptid that is half human and half ape or whatever. Just think of this Abominable Snowman, also known as the Yeti Monster, as the cold-region version of Bigfoot. Yeah, sort of like an arctic Sasquatch with poor social skills...
I'm not saying that there can't be large creatures lurking around that resemble giant humanoids with hair-growth issues, but most of the scientific community would not waste time on the legend of the "Abominable Snowman," although there are still some people out there that claim to have seen it - and it's one of the more popular beasts of cryptozoology. On the other hand, with all the techno camera tricks and photo editing available - along with the way things are today in general, most people probably wouldn't even believe pictures or videos anymore, that is, if this thing ever does get caught on tape. I did find a vague picture on Wikipedia that was supposedly took of this giant, hairy loner in 1986; you can view it below:
Anyway, the Yeti Monster supposedly dwells in the Himalayan region of India, Nepal, and Tibet. This massive mountain range would be a great place for a beast like the Abominable Snowman to hide out away from us crafty humans, although that cold mountain range is an extremely harsh climate with all the snow, ice, and frigid temperatures.
The eyewitness reports often size this creature up, like the common Sasquatch, to be around 7 to 10 feet tall with huge feet, walks upright like a human, and smells really bad (how insulting - ha!). Now that's another thing right there... I often hear about how these Bigfoot, Sasquatch, Yeti Monsters and other beast-like animals smell. Wait a minute... Just how close are these people getting to them? If that's true, then surely somebody can film this sucker for us to see, right? Anyway, not that I care what it smells like, the point is, this character does sound similar to the Bigfoot creature - just in a different location.
The more and more I hear about this type of stuff, it makes me wonder if maybe, just maybe, that there is a chance or possibility that there could still be a few remaining evolutionary rejects from the Gigantopithecus species, roaming around in isolated, hidden areas while acting as a recluse. If you're wondering, Gigantopithecus is an extinct giant ape. In fact, by fossil records, they are believed to be the largest apes to have ever lived, weighing in at about 1,200 lbs. and nearly 10 feet tall! That's one big hairy monster of an animal that I'd hate to walk up on, and I'm damn sure not going to be out looking for it! Ha-ha! If you would like to read more about that particular species, visit: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gigantopithecus
Anyway, not that this is the case with the legend of the Abominable Snowman, but what if there were still a few survivors of the Gigantopithecus out there? Well, it wouldn't be the first time that science has discovered a living species that was once believed to be extinct. Take the Coelacanth fish, for example. They were thought to have been extinct since the end of the Cretaceous period (145.5 to 65.5 million years ago)! However, even though their existence was thought to have been totally erased from the planet during the last 65 million years or so, the Coelacanths were discovered (in live form) in 1938.
If you'd like to read more about reappearing species that were once believed to be extinct, check out the "Lazarus taxon" article that covers this subject, here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lazarus_taxon
Anyway, back to our "Abominable Snowman - Yeti Monster" myth... I remember as a kid, thinking it was supposed to be some oversized, white-haired beast from up north, sort of like the one that appeared during a certain episode (can't think of the name) of the cartoon called "Scooby-Doo." I assume that the white-haired creature you often see depicted as the "Abominable Snowman" via drawings, cartoons and other artwork, must represent snow on the brown fur instead - since all the eye-witness reports that I've read about, describe a dark-haired beast lurking in the snow. Well, that's enough about this snowman monster subject. Who knows...???

Destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah - God, Aliens, Natural Causes?
The infamous region of Sodom and Gomorrah, often referred to as the "sin cities," is quite popular amid the holy folks, myth and storytellers, and moral seekers of divine justice.
However, some people doubt that this place even existed, even though the location of this area can be found and proven to exist, but that's not the point or the question here...
First of all, I'm not a biblical scholar by no means; in fact, when I do bring religion up, I'm usually ranting about some 'holier than thou' aspect that I dislike or perhaps my disdain for organized religions in general. I'm not an atheist nor do I cohere to a certain code of conduct or a particular set of dogma dung. But when it comes to Sodom and Gomorrah, these supposed sin cities sound like the way our civilization is becoming in America and throughout the globe. You know, traits such as: decadent, lazy gluts, deceitful, disrespectful, irresponsible, spoiled, lewd, unchaste and, overall, just a bunch of wasteful bipeds who are callous, brainless pieces of trash without a care in the world. Now, I know this doesn't apply to a lot of people, but just generalizing the momentum that seems to be moving forward in the world today, but hey, maybe things will change for the better - as time marches on (boom!).
Anyway, assuming it did happen, the primary question here is: Who is responsible for the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah? Was it the almighty God? Was it Aliens from another planet or world? Was the destruction of these cities simply due to the impact of a big asteroid or other natural causes that stem from rational thinking?
Hell, I don't know, I wasn't there... But I will leave this post open for comments, and I will provide a couple resources below.
The Bible mentions that it was God casting wrath upon Sodom and Gomorrah... English Version; Genesis, Chapter 19, Verse 23 - 29: "The sun was rising when Lot reached Zoar. Suddenly the Lord rained burning sulfur on the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah and destroyed them and the whole valley, along with all the people there and everything that grew on the land. But Lot's wife looked back and was turned into a pillar of salt. Early the next morning Abraham hurried to the place where he had stood in the presence of the Lord. He looked down at Sodom and Gomorrah and the whole valley and saw smoke rising from the land, like smoke from a huge furnace. But when God destroyed the cities of the valley where Lot was living, he kept Abraham in mind and allowed Lot to escape to safety." That was the Bible's version of the destruction.
If you'd like to read more about this subject in a biblical sense, you can start with a page called "Is there any evidence for the Biblical story of Sodom and Gomorrah's destruction by fire and brimstone (sulfur)?" You can find it here: http://christiananswers.net/q-abr/abr-a007.html
Now, what about those pesky little aliens, often referred to as "angels" and/or "demons" by many religious people? Well, one can speculate that the destruction of those cities was not from God, but from a nuclear attack, which some will still call "the work of god." If that is the case, maybe the destruction was from aliens acting as violent angels or playful demons, or maybe it was just some fed up extraterrestrials that felt like testing their weapons of mass destruction. Ha-ha! Either way, if you'd like to read about the Sin Cities of Sodom and Gomorrah in an alien sense, visit: www.perpendicularity.org/sodom-gomorrah.html [Link is no longer active since I deleted that website a while back, but I will add most of it below, as part 2.]
Part 2 comes from an old (now deleted) website of mine that contained a section on there that featured articles about ancient astronauts. I would make some edits and have editor's comments, etc. Below, I'll drop down one of the chapters that related to this subject:
Genesis Chapter 19, verses 24 through 29 describes in graphic terms how the wrath of the Lord descended on the cities of Sodom & Gomorrah and how He destroyed them with fire & brimstone. It also describes the effects of low radiation, like tactical nuclear warheads! (Wow! So much for natural causes; ha!)
The eminent Soviet scientist Professor M. Agrest, a leading physicist-mathematician, says that before the recorded history of our earth, the fertile plains of Palestine, in the vicinity of the Dead Sea, were visited by highly advanced aliens from another solar system, possibly the unwitting tools of God's divine plan for mankind.
These beings -- the Bible calls them Angels -- visited the inhabitants of Sodom, Gomorrah, Admah, Zeboiim and Zoar, five thriving cities that, around the time of the nuclear holocaust, say 800 B.C., were islands of civilization amid a sea of barbarism.
Agrest says the space invaders may have landed in the area of Baalbek Terrace, a platform of huge stone slabs in the mountains of Syria. Alternatively, the slabs could have been constructed as a launching platform for the star travelers. To this day, no one has a satisfactory explanation for the existence of the strange stone slabs at Baalbek Terrace.
The area is not far from the Libyan desert, where glassy fragments called tektites have been found in large numbers. These contain highly radioactive isotopes of aluminum and beryllium, which Dr. Agrest believes are remnants of the spacemen's atomic missiles. Dr. Agrest says: "The visiting star people found cities of mud and quickly showed the inhabitants how to build in stone, how to lay out streets with the regularity of modern town planners, to install baths in their homes hooked up to a central hot water supply, to supply cleaners to keep the streets free of rubbish and to cut down on the risk of infection by burying the dead far from the city walls."
The alien beings also genetically engineered the inhabitants of the cities, who were after all still mired in the Stone Age, giving them the brainpower that should have taken their descendants to the stars in just a few short millenniums; but it was not to be......
The citizens of Sodom and Gomorrah became too civilized & sophisticated for the times in which they lived. They quickly became bored with the good life they had been given and wallowed in sin & debauchery.
Recent archaeological evidence has shed much light on the history and social customs of the twin cities. These included grisly human sacrifice, cannibalism, drunkenness, sexual promiscuity, worship of pagan gods, and the watching of blood-splashed exhibitions & spectacles. Even the gentlest reader will know that such sins exist in our big cities today, including a few the Sodomites never thought of; yet God does not send a race of aliens to blast them into perdition.
It seems that the citizens of Sodom and Gomorrah committed one unpardonable sin, and that sin was the worship of the heathen deity Baal, a word that simply meant "Lord" in the ancient Palestinian tongue. The religion of Baal preached all of those sinful acts mentioned prior and more. Lot and his infamous wife were both worshippers of this deity, who represented the male forces of nature, and was often represented by a phallus intertwined with serpents.
What a disaster for those genetic engineers from space!
Instead of a hardy race of pioneers who would one day reach for the stars, the cities became filled with weak minded people that were ill-equipped to withstand the wars, plagues and famines that beset the region.
The Bible tells us that when Abraham first entered Palestine, the excesses of Sodom & Gomorrah were at their peak. The stern old patriarch took one look at the sin cities and decided to go while the going was still good. He took his wife and his herdsmen into "the plain of Mamre," (which is in Hebron) stolidly refusing to worship any God but Jehovah.
Thus was the seed of Abraham sparing the coming holocaust and/or thorough destruction of these two cities......
His people were hardy, rugged, intelligent, industrious and resistant to disease. His followers and descendants followed Jehovah's laws which dictated that work should come before pleasure, love should conquer lust, and strict laws of health and continence should be obeyed.
And so, the warheads winged over Abraham's peaceful pastures and fell on the degenerates of Sodom and Gomorrah.
Dr. Agrest says: "The description of the destruction that followed is given in the Dead Sea Scrolls. This account cannot help but attract the attention of modern man who are familiar with nuclear physics. In modern language, Abraham and his followers were ordered to get well away from the area of the coming tactical explosions, not to linger in the open and not to watch the blast. Those of the patriarch's band who looked back, lost their sight."
It was now that Lot's wife, disobeying Jehovah's command, looked back at the cities she loved "and became a pillar of salt." Lot's wife was petrified, just as the victims of intense radiation in Hiroshima & Nagasaki became petrified.
In the 1970s, an American expedition found a petrified forest in the fabled "Sea of Salt" - the Dead Sea. Chemical and radiation analysis of the leafless branches, tortured trunks and twisted roots revealed that it had stood there since the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah - 2800 years before. Then the geologists discovered something really sensational......
The surface and beaches of the Dead Sea lie 1,280 feet below sea level. No other place in the world, which is not under water, lies deeper than 300 feet!
American scientist Jack Finegan said later:
"Geological and archaeological evidence leads to the conclusion that the corrupt cities [of Sodom and Gomorrah] lay partly in the area now submerged by the southern end of the Dead Sea. Their destruction came about by a huge cataclysm which forced that part of the earth's crust downward, and which was probably accompanied by explosions, lightning, the issue of natural gas and general conflagration..."
Thus perished the great cities which had been so carefully nurtured by the ancient astronauts, where a bold experiment in genetic engineering had gone terribly wrong...and where nuclear warheads were used to wipe the slate clean.
One shudders to think that the same thing could happen to certain corrupt & wicked "sin cities" in the modern world -- cities which, in many respects, behave exactly as Sodom and Gomorrah did in those ancient times.
Editor's Comment:
It is possible that the ancient aliens could have wiped out more than just the dinosaurs, including several bouts of violence upon man. But seriously, were they primitive aliens? You'd think they would have more sophisticated weapons as opposed to dropping nuclear bombs. Wouldn't they have high-tech lasers? Oh, wait, never mind, they probably had photon torpedoes. Duh! Anyway... When it comes to these two particular cities of note, it sounds like to me that they were very much like a lot of booming, high-populated big cities in today's world.
Corruption and so-called "sin" involving people getting drunk or high and being unchaste - among other things - is all over the globe. Some people look at it as simply having fun, while many folks would like to cast wrath down upon thee. At any rate, the point is that there is a good deal of evidence that leans towards the notion that Sodom & Gomorrah were wiped out with a great force, possibly via nuclear means.
---End of Part 2
If you're more inclined to finding a rational explanation via natural causes, you probably won't need any resource links to find possible causes for the destruction of these cities, and you will gladly do your own cyber searches. But for anyone who wants to drop down their 2 cents worth about this subject, whether it is about God, aliens, asteroids, sin cities, and so on, feel free.
Personally, I don't have a clue. We've been destroying and blowing each other up for so long now, who knows?
Okay, it is time to confess! Who destroyed these freaky cities???
