Werewolf Syndrome - Extreme Hypertrichosis

Unlike most of the content here, this is not a Myth, nor does it relate to Legends or Folklore.

The only thing mythical about it, could be if someone seen one of these characters running around with extreme Hypertrichosis, while thinking they just witnessed a malign being, and screamed, "I seen a Werewolf!" Now that could get some wild stories started in a hurry, that would later turn into Myths & Folklore.

I'll make this post fairly short, but mainly just wanted to drop down a few images of this bizarre syndrome and to also possibly inform the ones out there who have never heard of it. Anyway, Hypertrichosis obviously involves abnormal hair growth. It can either be over the entire body or it can be localized in certain areas. The Werewolf Syndrome is also often classified under "Acquired" Hypertrichosis (which appears after birth) or "Congenital" Hypertrichosis (which is rare but present at birth due to a genetic mutation).

To read more about this outlandish, abnormal hair growth disorder, visit: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hypertrichosis

Check out a couple images below:

I have read about how some people in the past that suffered with extreme Hypertrichosis often found jobs at the circus. I understand that many of them are just trying to deal with the hand they are dealt, but can you imagine the mental stress one would have to go through if they wanted to fit in with society... In contrast, I have also read that some people with this particular syndrome attempt no treatments and say that it defines them as a person and/or who they are. Now that's a positive attitude, to say the least. Well, either way, this is some freaky-looking stuff!

The Dinosaurs & Neanderthals - Ultimate Demise

I'm about to briefly bring up two debatable topics, provide links to a couple related stories, and leave it at that. Nobody seems to know for sure what caused the ultimate demise and/or extinction of the Neanderthals, nor can anyone prove exactly what killed off the dinosaurs. First, we'll start with the Neanderthals:

Artistic view of a Neanderthal Male Wikipedia lists two possible Extinction Hypotheses: 1) Neanderthals were a separate species from modern humans and became extinct (due to climate change or interaction with humans) and were replaced by H. sapiens moving into its habitat beginning around 80 thousand years ago. Competition from H. sapiens probably contributed to Neanderthal extinction. Jared Diamond has suggested a scenario of violent conflict and displacement. 2) Neanderthals were a contemporary subspecies that bred with Homo sapiens and disappeared through absorption (interbreeding hypothesis).

Here's a third possibility: Could the Neanderthal women have been sterilized by aliens from another planet or world?

"But they were an obsolete race, competing for food & living space with the much more advanced Cro-Magnon man, our own ancestors. They had to be removed, and were genetically altered by the ancient astronauts so that they could no longer breed. In other words, the women were sterilized," says UFO & ancient astronaut expert Dr. Hans Oehlenschlager of Berlin, Germany.

It was an interesting story, nonetheless...

Okay, now what about the death of those Dinosaurs?

T-Rex Skeleton Scientists along with many other curious folks have been wondering this very question, "what actually caused the Dinosaurs to all die out?" While most folks agree that their ultimate demise was due to some giant meteor impact to planet Earth, there are still many other theories out there......

"Years of research by dedicated scientists across the world have yielded many conflicting theories, all of them plausible; but they do agree that the wonderful lizards perished in some kind of worldwide, cataclysmic, and incredibly violent event; and several have asked: Could this have been a nuclear explosion via atomic war?"

Read more: http://www.perpendicularity.org/death-of-dinosaurs.html [Link is no longer active, but it's now Part 2 of this post, below...] Well, either way, they are extinct, so draw your own conclusions...

Part 2: Death of Dinosaurs - Atomic War?

The great lizard loped through the trees and into the forest clearing, the hunger gnawing in his belly.  He stopped, then rose up on his great hind legs.  His huge head moved slowly back and forth, testing the wind, seeking the scent of the plant eaters. The hot breeze told him nothing and he roared his frustration, the cruel, curved teeth flashing like cavalry sabers......

His body dropped till it was almost parallel to the ground and he began that distance-eating lope again, tail straight out behind him to counter-balance the enormous weight and moving at a steady 30 miles an hour through the trees and towards the plains where the plant eaters gathered.

Suddenly a mighty roar echoed through the forest and Tyrannosaurus halted again.  The giant lizard was almost 200 years old, and in all that time he had never known fear... He knew it now......

He looked to the west, his binocular vision, so like our own, momentarily blinded by the massive fireball that rose into the sky, followed a few heartbeats later by a cloud that boiled like mud and slowly blotted out the sun.  The great lizard turned and ran back towards the clearing.  His skin burned as though by a great fire and above him a wind like the sulfurous breath of a thousand volcanoes ripped through the tortured treetops......

Three days later, blind, his beautiful green-dappled hide covered in huge festering sores, the mighty lizard collapsed, breathing in short, agonized gasps. The great dying had begun......

That scene took place in what is now Montana - a little over 60 million years ago.  The bones of that particular Tyrannosaurus Rex, still radioactive, were dug up in the 1930s and now grace the entrance hall of a museum of natural history.  The terrible Tyrannosaurus, the thunder lizard, was the last in a long line of dinosaurs that ruled the earth for 140 million years then suddenly vanished from this planet.  Well, what in the hell happened?

Years of research by dedicated scientists across the world have yielded many conflicting theories, all of them plausible; but they do agree that the wonderful lizards perished in some kind of worldwide, cataclysmic, and incredibly violent event; and several have asked: Could this have been a nuclear explosion via atomic war?

In his book "Men and Dinosaurs," Edwin Colbert discussed a 1947 dinosaur fossil find in northwest Mexico.  He said:  "They were found in the greatest profusion, piled on top of one another, with heads and tails and feet and legs often inextricably mixed in a jackstraw of bones.  It would appear that some local catastrophe had overtaken these dinosaurs, so that they all died together and were buried together."  Since then, other dinosaur finds have been located around the world - all stamped with the same characteristics.

In the 1960s, Soviet scientists developed a theory that the dinosaurs disappeared during a period of "intense radiation, such as might be experienced after a worldwide nuclear holocaust."

Tests carried out in the Paleontological Museum of the Academy of Sciences of Moscow showed that dinosaur bones from that mass extinction period are extremely radioactive, contemporaries of the thunder lizards, survive very much in their original form today, protected as they were by the oceans.

According to American scientists, two natural processes could explain the mass extinction of the dinosaurs:  a supernova in space that blasted the earth with radioactivity, or massive radioactive emissions from the bowels of the earth during volcanic eruptions.

The Soviets point out that supernova outbursts within a 25 light year radius of our sun, though rare, could have occurred twice between the first appearance of life on Earth and today. But what deals a death blow to the supernova theory is that great heat, not merely radiation, killed the dinosaurs.  In many cases, dinosaur footprints have been found in mudflats covered by shallow water which should have obliterated them.  But the tracks were baked into stone and cracked into many side shapes - which proves instant evaporation of the water AND the dinosaurs!  This also explains why no bones have ever been found near tracks.

The radioactive emissions theory is also highly unlikely.  The emissions necessary to cause immediate, mass extinction could only be caused by sudden, intense, worldwide volcanic activity - something which has never occurred on earth.

According to the Soviet experts this means that ancient astronauts may well have waged an atomic battle on earth 60 million years ago. Perhaps they were simply battling one another for control of this planet.  Or could they have been exterminating the dinosaurs to pave the way for man?  There is a lot of evidence to support that atomic war theory.

The Bible describes what could be an atomic war.  In Revelations 12:3, 7, 8, and 9: "And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great dragon...And there was war in heaven:  Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, and prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven.  And the great dragon was cast out..."

---Editor interjects:  I think the validity of this story which speaks about the possibility of alien atomic warfare, is better without the bible quotes.  The author of "Revelations" wasn't even alive during the time period of dinosaur extinction.  Anyway, better proof lies ahead... ---

There is even reference in Zulu legends to "metal monsters" that destroyed the world with great explosions! But the most concrete piece of evidence of an advanced civilization on Earth 60 million years ago is a tiny cube of lathe-machined, high-tensile steel discovered by the Swiss naturalist Gurlt.

Gurlt found the block, which measures exactly 2.8 by 2.8 by 2 inches, and weighs 1.72 pounds, while seeking dinosaur fossils in the Australian Alps in 1886.  The block dates back to the time of the great dinosaur extinction - yet human technology could not produce such an artifact until the early decades of the 20th century.

Shortly after the extinction of the dinosaurs, a wide variety of new plants and animals suddenly made their appearance on Earth.  The Soviets, and some American and European scientists, theorize that the ancient astronauts, after waging their terrible battle, repopulated the earth with life forms from their own planets.

The evidence shows that these spacemen also passed on some of their destructive knowledge and their inclination to wage war, to the early man.

A Hindu scientist named Kanada, born around 850 B.C., possessed an incredible knowledge of atomic principles.  Robin Collyns in his book, "Did Spacemen Colonize the Earth?" writes: "Kanada, a most erudite scholar, was one of the most learned contributors to the Hindu philosophy of Vaisesika, a Sanskrit work dealing with atomic physics.  The Mausola Purva describes a missile that 'appeared like 10,000 suns after spreading into three parts.' A Soviet SS9 missile carries three five-megaton warheads, and it appears that the Hindus used this type of missile at least 3,000 years ago."

More recent evidence is that of the 1964 discovery in South Africa of a complete underground village.  The village, hidden deep in a series of caves, consists of huts with mud walls about 12 feet thick.  Each cave contains about 20 huts. The remains of another village is at ground level. Archaeologists were struck by the village's similarity to a modern nuclear attack shelter - and indeed say that the village could have withstood the blast of a five-megaton tactical nuclear warhead.  Whatever the theories, one thing is certain:

The slate was wiped clean 60 million years ago with the destruction of the dinosaurs and life began anew, eventually leading to man. There is strong evidence to suggest that nuclear weapons, wielded by ancient astronauts, caused what we now realize was the greatest mass extinction of life in the history of the earth; and we are left with the uneasy feeling, as we see the spread of nuclear weapons around the world, that the same thing could happen again. If the slate is once again wiped clean, who or what will take our place?

Editor's Comment: I find this all to be quite interesting.  As a kid and throughout adulthood, when thinking upon this subject, I have always questioned and pondered over the very plausible idea that aliens from another world intervened and brought death to the dinosaurs. Also, I've mulled over the notion that an advanced race/aliens have been visiting this planet for a long time, but more frequently in the past when civilization was at its most primitive stages. This belief or idea is definitely noteworthy and worth some thought.  Regardless, without any intervention, the Homo sapiens of today are enough of a threat to this planet via pollution, the rape of nature, and by nuclear potential.

Egyptian Magic Books

The following is an excerpt from the back of the book entitled "Egyptian Magic," by E.A. Wallis Budge:

"For millenia, Egypt, the dark land, has been considered the home of magic. The feats of her priests and magicians were renowned throughout the ancient world, from the simplest legerdemain (according to present interpretation) to the heights of necromancy and sorcery. Even their most severe critics, the ancient Hebrews, admitted the power of Egyptian magic. In the famous sorcerers' duel between Moses and the Egyptian priests before Pharaoh, the Egyptians were almost as skilled as Moses.

This well-known study of ancient Egyptian magic, by E. Wallis Budge, long curator of Egyptian antiquities at the British Museum, sums up everything that is known about the wonder-working of ancient Egypt. Dr. Budge covers the powerful amulets that warded off evil spirits, the scarabs of immortality, the use of wax images and spirit placements, magical pictures and formulas, magic via the secret name, magic of sounds, rituals, curses, destruction of hostile magic, determination of fortunate dates, and many of the other practices of the Nile dwellers.

Dozens of excerpts are also given from the magical papyroi, tomb inscriptions, and other sources. Many wonderful tales are told in these Egyptian stories: mind control, enforcing will upon animals, suspended animation, calling upon the dead, finding ancient books of incredible magic power, and other miraculous events that we may or may not believe..."

This particular book is the unabridged republication of the 1901 edition, and it comes with 20 illustrations. I own this book, but I still haven't got around to reading any of it yet, well, except for the back of it that I'm typing into this blog, ha-ha! It looks interesting though, and I plan on checking it out in detail, later on. Hey, most people might classify this "Egyptian Magic" book under the 'woo-woo category' but we will just call it eccentric and leave it at that.

P.S. I decided to combine another post to this page that was written on a similar timeline from another website that I recently deleted. It will contain several excerpts from the book itself along with some additional comments and interjections from me.

Part 2: "E. A. Wallis Budge - Egyptian Magic - Excerpts from the Book"

The Introduction...

Preface from the Book:

A study of the remains of the native religious literature of ancient Egypt which have come down to us has revealed the fact that the belief in magic, that is to say, in the power of magical names, spells, formulas, figures, pictures, enchantments, amulets, and in ceremonies with words of power (to produce supernatural results), formed a significantly large, important part of Egyptian religion.  And it is certain that, notwithstanding the continuous progress which the Egyptians made in civilization, and the high intellectual development to which they eventually attained, this belief influenced their minds and, from the earliest to the latest period of their history, shaped their views concerning things temporal as well as spiritual in a manner which, at this stage in the history of the world, is very difficult to understand.  The scrupulous care with which they performed their innumerable religious ceremonies and carried out the rules which they had formulated concerning the worship of the divine Power(s), and their devotion to religious magic, gained for them among the nations with whom they came in contact the reputation of being at once the most religious and the most superstitious of men.  That this reputation was, for the most part, well deserved, is the object of this little book to show.

---Editor's Comment:  I haven't read this Egyptian Magic book yet, although the title sounds very interesting.  But one of the other things that interested me about it, was Egypt's amazing record keeping ability and their preservation of history.  Of course, the great Pyramids of Egypt and the possibility of advanced civilizations assisting them in the past, like, "Aliens from Another Planet," also factor into why I'm always interested in basically anything that involves Egyptian ways of living - whether fact or fiction. ---End of Comment

Egyptian magic dates from the time when the pre-dynastic and prehistoric dwellers in Egypt believed that the earth, the underworld, and the air and the sky were all peopled with countless beings, visible and invisible, which were held to be friendly and unfriendly to man according to the operations of nature (which they were supposed to direct) that were favorable or unfavorable to him.

In nature and attributes these beings were taught by primitive man to closely resemble himself and to possess all human passions, emotions, weakness, defects, and the chief object of magic was to give man the pre-eminence over such things.  The favor of the beings who were placable (able to be appeased or placated) and friendly to man might be obtained by means of gifts and offerings, but the cessation of hostilities on the part of those that were implacable and unfriendly could only be obtained by wheedling, cajolery, flattery or by making use of an amulet, secret name, figure, magical formula, or a picture which had the effect of bringing to the aid of the mortal who possessed it the power of a being that was mightier than the foe who threatened to do evil to him. The magic of most early nations aimed at causing the transference of power from a super-natural being to a man, whereby he was to be enabled to obtain superhuman results and to become for a time as mighty as the original possessor of the power; but the object of Egyptian magic was to endow man with the means of compelling both friendly and hostile powers, nay, at a later time, even God himself, to do what he wished, whether they were willing or not. The belief in magic, the word being used in its best sense, is older in Egypt than the belief in God, and it is certain that a very large number of the Egyptian religious ceremonies, which were performed in later times as an integral part of a highly spiritual worship, had their origin in superstitious customs which date from a period when God, under any name or in any form, was not conceived in the minds of the Egyptians.

---Editor Interjects:  I find that last sentence to be interesting, but inconclusive.  In some sense, spirituality and divine ways of thinking along with the belief in magic, all sort of relate.  Even if the early Egyptians couldn't conceive a type of God with a name or form, they still sounded like they were very religious.  I suppose it is how you want to define God, religions and spirituality......but to me, it is all relative. ---End of Comment

Indeed, it is probable that even the use of the sign which represents an axe, and which stands as the hieroglyphic character both for God and "god," indicates that this weapon and tool was employed in the performance of some ceremony connected with religious magic in prehistoric or, at any rate, in pre-dynastic times when it in some mysterious way symbolized the presence of supreme Power.  But be this as it may, it is quite certain that magic and religion developed and flourished side by side in Egypt throughout all periods of her history, and that any investigation which we may make of the one necessarily includes an examination of the other. From the religious books of ancient Egypt, we learn that the power possessed by a priest or man who was skilled in the knowledge and working of magic was believed to almost be boundless.  By pronouncing certain words or names of power in the proper manner and in the proper tone of voice he could heal the sick, and cast out the evil spirits which caused pain and suffering in those who were diseased, and restore the dead to life, and bestow upon the dead man the power to transform the corruptible into an incorruptible body, wherein the soul might live to all eternity......

---Editor's Comment:  I'm going to have to cut this Preface / Introduction and/or Excerpts from the book "Egyptian Magic" off, mainly because it is getting rather long and also due to the fact that if you're sincerely interested, maybe you just need to buy the book so you can analyze it to death. However, one must realize that this book may contain lots of the woo-woo of wooism, so approach it with caution; reader beware.  Ha-ha!  Ahh, but it's a featured book on this website that deals with ancient Egyptian ways of living, so from there, you should realize that it has to be good.  Enjoy......

The Legend of Mel's Hole

The contemporary legend of what is referred to as "Mel's Hole," makes for an interesting tale - whether there is any truth to it or not.
Although, during the time of such claims, the mystery man Mel Waters claimed to be residing in or within the area close to Manastash Ridge, Washington, but no records indicate a resident living in that area during the given time period. He also claimed to know the whereabouts of an outlandish hole in the earth, measuring 9 feet in circumference and, after testing by lowering a weight attached to several reels of fishing line, estimated it to be at least 15 miles deep. Mel even appeared on radio shows, boasting about his knowledge of this mysterious, freaky hole with paranormal properties.

Speaking of paranormal or occult properties, the legend of Mel's hole also mentions that this seemingly endless orifice of earth (that would make for a great devil's gate in a horror flick or scary movie) had other odd qualities, such as the ability to bring dead animals back to life. To make it short, Mr. Waters supposedly sold the property and vanished along with the directions of this glorious underground landfill of his. Hell, the guy could have at least been nice enough to leave a map!

Although, for the most part, this has been labelled as an urban legend or just plain hooey, there are still other reports of this hole; one in particular, dates back several years before this Mel character. I recently read about how there was some tribal-related "Medicine Man" that went by the name Red Elk, claimed to have seen this mysterious hole with his father, in the year 1961. Red Elk also stated that the hole was much deeper than 15 miles, and that it was near 28 miles deep. Now, how in the hell he could have actually known that, beats the hell out of me. I don't know, maybe the boogey man told him. This supposed Medicine Man also spoke about an Inner Earth belief with a race of giant "lizard men" who turned captured humans into sex slaves. Hmm, I bet this guy had some interesting dreams at night. Ha-ha! By the way, those Inner Earth creatures make for some excellent Sci-Fi shows!

Outside of Mel and the Medicine Man, there have been a few others that have claimed knowledge about this toxic waste dump of a hole. I call it that, because it has also been said that this "hell of a hole" had once been used by locals to dump their garbage and other random forms of junk for years, while never filling up. This suggests that it must be one deep pit of filth and smelly debris...

Crop Circles & Underwater UFOs

I've recently stumbled across a couple links in which one spoke about crop circles and the other mentioned underwater UFOs. This stuff was big in the '90s, but I see that it's still getting some attention, so I'll provide the images and links to 'em for your entertainment.

First of all, crop circles are a well-known hoax that was often used, especially in the past, to really rile up the UFO activists. Don't get me wrong, I believe there is other life forms out there - some flying around in the universe or whatever, and the possibility of aliens visiting us from another planet, is something that I've never had any doubt about. But this crop circle hooey used to commonly be done as publicity stunts for certain towns, cities or whatever - call it the media effect, if you will.

I really don't know if alien beings would waste time playing in corn fields or other people's crops just to make wicked designs for their own personal amusement. However, this latest one that I stumbled across not only had a nifty pattern, but it also came with an onlooker's tale.

Check out this crafty crop circle image:

Crop Circle via man or aliens?News Link covering this particular crop circle:

Underwater UFOs:
I've heard about this for years... The possibility of UFOs soaring out of the water and/or diving underwater to great depths, is just as plausible to me, as them hovering around in the sky and disappearing. If this is true, however, they must have some sort of force field around their craft, perhaps a protective bubble of some sorts, that they use while bending time & space during their high-speed travel throughout the cosmos; plus, an advanced race of aliens may possibly have access to dimensional travel, which would completely boggle our Earth-bound laws of physics.
Anyway, the link I'm about to provide for this subject, is about "Russian Navy UFO records say aliens love oceans." It goes on to quote Vladimir Azhazha, former navy officer and a famous Russian UFO researcher, “Fifty percent of UFO encounters are connected with oceans. Fifteen more – with lakes. So UFOs tend to stick to the water,” Vladimir said. Many folks have connected the bizarre occurrences within the Bermuda Triangle with such claims of alien activity.

This is another quote from a Navy intelligence veteran, Captain 1st rank, Igor Barklay:Ocean UFOs often show up wherever our or NATO’s fleets concentrate. Near Bahamas, Bermudas, Puerto Rico. They are most often seen in the deepest part of the Atlantic Ocean, in the southern part of the Bermuda Triangle, and also in the Caribbean Sea,” Barklay said.

Underwater UFOs ---End of Post "Crop Circles & Underwater UFOs"

Update: Below, I'll drop down a promo for the popular show entitled "Unsolved Mysteries." I previously had this on another site of mine, but I moved it here since I deleted that website:

Do you enjoy watching DVDs about mysterious aliens and UFOs?

Post Title: Unsolved Mysteries - Aliens & UFOs - 4 Disc Set

I ordered this set a couple years ago. I remember as a kid, really liking that Unsolved Mysteries show. Some of my favorite episodes were the ones about aliens and UFOs. Yeah, it was way back before all the Ancient Alien Theorists of today tried to blame everything under the sun, on freakin' aliens!

Things were much simpler back then, and we had less madmen on television trying to catch 15 minutes of fame, to say the least. Anyway, Robert Stack was perfect for the narration role on there, and I even liked the background music they would often play.

This particular 4-disc set features the best Unsolved Mysteries segments about UFOs, aliens (abductions included) and extraterrestrial-related material. I just counted a total of 26 shows from the 4 DVDs. (Sorry, it doesn't seem to cover the Underwater UFOs [also called USOs for Unidentified Submerged Objects] in this set.) I wasn't going to list them all, but okay, here they are in order:

Bentwaters UFO, Allagash Abductions, Crop Circles, Phoenix UFO, Nazca Lines, Mexico UFO, Vancouver Lights, Roswell, Roswell/Area 51 Connection, Hudson Valley UFO, Belgian UFO, Falcon Lake UFO, UFO Healing, Australian UFO, Missing Time, Socorro Close Encounter, Kecksburg UFO, Texas UFO, Face on Mars, Men in Black, Canadian UFO, Wheatfields Visitations, Life on Mars, Interceptors, The Blob, and the UFO Odyssey. Yeah, as you can see, it involves a lot of interesting subjects.

If you like this type of stuff, this 4-disc set is definitely worth the money. Oh, they supposed to also be releasing (or have already released) additional disc sets from Unsolved Mysteries under the following genres: Ghosts, Miracles, Psychics, Bizarre Murders, and Legends. I must say, though, that even though Unsolved Mysteries was an excellent show, I didn't think the other genres that I just listed, even compared to the quality and attention-grabbing effects that the shows about aliens & UFOs had.
To put it simply, in my opinion, this particular 4-disc set was the best they had to offer. Well, at any rate, I just thought I'd share this with the extraterrestrial-loving community today. Cheers!

Do you have an Aura? What does "finding self" mean?

This will now be a 2-part post. It was originally about one subject (an Aura), but after recently deleting an old website of mine, I've returned back to older blog posts (such as this one) to add some of the semi-related content before spreading out all of the stand-alone articles amid multiple blogs, etc. Part 2 will be about "finding self" albeit everyone has a different opinion about what that could possibly mean.

Part 1: Do you have an Aura?

I recently took, out of curiosity, an aura test that was intended to tell me what the dominant colors of my aura were. Well, even though some of the reading was interesting, I highly doubt if I'm walking around with more colors emitting from me than a typical rainbow. Ha-ha! I'll give the link to the "test" in a moment, but first, the definition and a quick description is necessary:

Aura (noun): (1) a distinctive atmosphere surrounding a given source; (2) a luminous radiation.

The paranormal version of "aura" definitely falls under spiritual insight and most folks would simply label it as woo-woo wishful thinking of an occult nature and be done with the kooky notion. However, if it is possible to "see" someone's aura, phenomenal clairvoyance needs to be applied. With that being said, maybe we need to take a few classes in parapsychology. Actually, I wrote a post about that particular subject, here: Will parapsychology eventually become more accepted? But back to the main subject at hand...

The astral body is sometimes said to be visible as an aura of swirling colors. You know, sort of like the claims of having an "outer-body experience" and whatnot. At any rate, by me bringing up the possibility of individuals having so-called "astral projections," I have slowly travelled away from our original topic. Excuse me, my "aura" must have had a transitory color shift off the color wheel, and I temporarily flew away with my etheric body and lost my spiritual state of being one with myself on my way back. Ha-ha!

All jokes set aside, it is not too far-fetched of an idea that we all emit something, and the emissions would vary from person to person - some stronger, some weaker, for example. But, like most things, when they get over-analyzed to death by woo-woo practitioners, things can get a little whacked out into the branches of asininity.
A quick excerpt from the land of Wiki:
"Sometimes, however, all people, or all living things, or all objects whatsoever are said to manifest such an aura. Often it is held to be perceptible, whether spontaneously or with practice: such perception is at times linked with the third eye of Indian spirituality. Various writers associate various personality traits with the colors of different layers of the aura."

In you're still interested, you can read more about it here via Wikipedia.

Okay, now here is the link to that "Aura Test" I spoke about earlier:

http://www.auracolors.com/personal-quiz-auracolors.html

Update:  I had to de-activate the above link, since it is no longer online.  Evidently, the ones behind that website, no longer believed they had an aura, either...  Ha-ha!

Part 2: What does "finding self" mean?

This post, like a lot of the ones that I’ve added lately, is something that I originally published on another website.  But, unlike a lot of the other ones, I think I should also include the ‘comment field’ from the past.  Several people commented about this topic when it was live via HubPages (a community writing site), and it would benefit this seemingly simple question/post, by adding input from others.  Remember, when I say “hub” it simply means an article on the site called “HubPages.”

What does “finding self” mean?

Image Caption: Rainbow - Spectrum of Earth...

Let's start over, seek out, and find ‘self’ once again…

Ignorance of Self
Many people are unaware of their actual actuality; okay, that seems to be the norm around here. Most people are caught up in the mundane routines of life, so they never actually ponder subjects like this or explore personal philosophies, for that matter. For the ones that do, unfortunately, the majority of them are either brainwashed by other organized beliefs or render into the offering plates of corruption – whether it is religion, governments, or other “organized” bull-sh*t.

So, once again…what does “finding self” really mean to you?

Seeking Awareness of Self?
Since I seem to be perpetually banned from HubPages’ online forums due to my offensive intellect, I couldn’t participate in, once again, an interesting topic from the “Knowledge & Education” forum today. HubPages’ member ‘marinealways24’ started the thread that was titled “Finding Self.” You can find it here: http://hubpages.com/forum/topic/39443

Mr. Marine started by saying: [Edited] What is ‘self’? How does a person find their own self? If people continually lie to themselves, can they ever find themselves? I think the definition of ‘self’, in short, equals honesty. What are your thoughts?

I was going to simply reply with:

Finding ‘self’ is to find clarity without the influence of others, and without outside thoughts & beliefs from others; it is to come at terms with being atomically connected to the universe and to reach a higher level of awareness. …And to other ‘simple minded’ folks caught up in the material world or to the ones with narrow minded thoughts, finding their ‘self’ may simply mean that they know their name and have eventually learned how to spell it… LOL!

---End of Comment

…If I wouldn’t get banned for petty stuff, this hub wouldn’t be necessary. I could carry on in the debate, add more thoughts, maybe agree or disagree with others, experience different viewpoints, etc. Hell, I may just start pulling the forums into quick hubs, just to combat the insanity of the sensitivity that caused me to get banned multiple times, to start with. This is absolutely ridiculous……

Anyway, there is a comment field, even if it’s for me to just talk to myself… Ha-ha! So…, what do you think it means to “find yourself?”

Well, this was the ‘comment field’ below:

T.S. says: There are many ways in which a person can begin to know himself. One of these ways is that for this person to take a peek to the outside world and ponder over the things he has seen.
His sight with the eyes will be similar to the sight of all common people around him, however his thoughts, feelings, and inner view of what he has seen will be his self. In other words, I can look at a man on the street and think of him as being stupid person, and in reality, he can be the smartest one around. My inner view that was taken after the image was beamed into my self, is in truth the mere reflection of myself.

I said: Hi there, thanks for commenting…
Yeah, it is often a reflective process.
A person can learn a lot about their self by nature, their surroundings, and by the relationships with others.

T.S. said: True, we are as mirrors and our reflection is the measurement in which our purity is shown.
Just as an impure mirror is unable to reflect images in clearness, our soul is also unable to do so when impure.
The more we purify our soul, the more we will become aware and wise.

I said: With or without so-called purification by “name & title” beliefs, the simple reflection of “self” aids in your own personal awareness and betterment of oneself - but only after you begin to recognize this obvious pattern of nature…… [Edit: This might have been a good time to ask, "Do you have an Aura?" Ha! Just kidding. I was just finding a way to add Part 1 into this post. Anyway...]

T.S. said: One who does not purify his self from the impurities of others, will be nothing but a stain of dirt common to the impurities of the blind.
Purification of the self is the only way to freedom and full awareness. For the nature of things are only seen when such things are clear and separate from others.
As it is the nature of the self of water to be “see through”, This same nature will be concealed if it is to be made impure.
When we attempt to unite with different things our nature will be altered, and the only thing known will be our unity as a whole and not the parts which make the whole.
If purification was not established the only thing that will be thought seen is the vague image of the whole, and no one will ever come to know his single state of the purified self.

I said: No, you confuse the process of “finding self” with religious hogwash; plain & simple.

T.S. said: When a given person says, “I want to find myself” He clearly states that his purpose is built on finding one thing, which is himself.
However, it should also be noted that “finding the self” does not mean to find a thing at a certain location, rather to find a given thing in a known location. Our self is located within us and not within others; it is our nature and not the nature of the whole universe as a whole.
You can look at the world as being things that complete each other and are at constant interaction with one another, but to know a certain part one does not need to know the whole function.
We know that 2 + 6 = 8. In other words, we understand that 2 and 6 add to give 8. However, if I intended to know the number 6 alone, I do not need to look at; “2 + 6 = 8”. All I have to do is to look at the number itself and come to the understanding of its place and its personal properties.
I haven’t been mentioning religion in this topic, but it seems as though religion is the bases of common purified logic.

I said: Your last reply was better, mainly since you left all the “impure” talk and “purification” gestures out of it, which is a religious innuendo, by the way.
Thanks for the feedback…
Hey, maybe you should, if you haven’t already, write a hub about this topic since it seems to spark a big interest from you.

T.S. said: Thanks bro
I am currently trying to express an idea I have gained throughout some experience. Hopefully I will be able to post it as soon as I am done with pondering over it.
The way I see religion is not as a thing that is separate from our life, rather I see it as a thing that completes us.
The idea of purity might be a little misunderstood, but even if we were not to think about religion or a God, this idea will still be clearly present in our lives. All we have to do is to open up to its approach, for even in religion there is a science.

I said: I don’t think there is a need for organized religions and/or “name & title” beliefs. But what works for others doesn’t apply to everyone; we are individuals with different levels & paths in life.
Good luck with your hub about this topic/subject matter, and thanks for all of your comments and/or writing a hub in my comment field, as well. LOL!

T.S. said: You're welcome.
I believe every person has a free will in this world, but with sole belief that slavery is only a product of forced labor or work by men, we truly as a result become enslaved to ideas and rejection out of mere opposition.
It is good to take in the ideas of other and to ponder over them, so we might learn from everyone. Even one who does mistake can teach us good lessons.
Peace bro

I said: As Spock would say, “live long & prosper.”

Kori Lee said: I agree with your profile completely. I think defining self may first start with different theories of psychology- what motivates me, what is unconscious especially the stuff I don’t know is lurking around in my psyche. The second is to be brutally honest with what you find. If you cannot look at yourself and see your faults or strengths, then what is the point? While I do not subscribe to dogmatic religions, some do have an element of seeking that I like. For example, Buddhism does a lot of deep analysis of psychological issues- that includes intuitive and body philosophies. I am not a Buddhist, but I try to find the way to truth and do like the Dali Lama and Mother Teresa’s of the world do.

I said: Hi, Kori Lee! It sounds like you are on the right path, when it comes to this subject. When I get a chance, I’ll check out some of your work! Thanks for stopping by…

Jewels said: Now here is a topic. Self taken in its highest form needs to go back to its roots. Try the Hindu (sanskrit) term of Atman as the real meaning of Self. (Upanishads) It is a state of pure being or is-ness and it is devoid of any sense of individuality. It is in fact a transcendental level of human consciousness.
When a person speaks of self generally there is no understanding of this more inner and uncorrupted state of your self. What most people understand of self is the gross levels, that which is the emotional rantings of your thoughts and reactions.
True psychological exploration will show the mask of the “astral” layers that we use while in human form. As Kori Lee said, the Buddhist tradition purifies the mind by sifting through these gross layers to find their true Self. But be aware that this state is a high state of consciousness and far far removed from our ordinary mind.

I said: Rid yourself from the haze, fall back to the root; I’m moving, but yet, I’m not moving at all; the only limitation is limitation of one’s self. Art reveals itself in psychic understanding of the inner essence of things and gives form to the relation of man with nothing, with the nature of the absolute.

Daniel C. said: I enjoyed this hub. I have a lot more questions than answers about “self”, “God”, “universe” and more. The best thing I can do for me now is to try to stay present and still. I’ve been running for a lot of years and it’s a tough habit to break. I’ve enjoyed some of your rants in the forums and am enjoying some of your hubs.

—End of “Hub”

After that last comment, I never got to reply back since that was about the same time both of my accounts (from the HubPages site) got shitcanned and/or terminated.  It was a big farewell to that lame site and a grand “hello” to this crazy one!

Anyway, feel free to add your comments to this blog post, if you have any further ideas when it comes to “finding self.”

Top Secret Video - Area 51 - Alien Interview

In a moment, I'll provide a Google Video link that contains a video that was supposedly smuggled from Area 51. The video was uploaded to that particular video media player, roughly 3 years ago. It contains over an hour of content, mostly interviews, along with a couple minutes of the anonymously claimed alien interview @ Area 51.

I'm sure most of you have heard about all the top secret activities that this desolate spot in Nevada harbors under its high security facility. I'm assuming that most of you feel that the government hides a lot of information from the general public, and many may question the intentions they actually have for humanity. Why do we keep using primitive fuel sources even though we have the technology for free energy? Why do we continue to treat diseases with drugs even though many could possibly have a cure by now? Why do we, except for very few, get left in the dark when it comes to discoveries and information regarding alien life? Yes, because of money, corruption, and/or control...

The video that I'm about to post a link to is more than just interesting, whether it is a hoax or not. Personally, I was not shocked or even that surprised that this could very easily be real. Besides the fact that it is the most authentic alien video I've ever seen, it also displays a poor trait of humanity. They treat these beings like lab rats, with no intention of setting them free.

Going by so-called ex-members of Area 51: These advanced races of beings seem to be more spiritually solid and confident than human beings - in what lies ahead; they do not fear death, for that matter, as they believe the body is just a vessel to transport the soul from place to place. This is what many folks on Earth call "reincarnation." To me, since everything else in the universe and on this planet seems to recycle, it is the only spiritual belief that makes sense. Now, to what degree or extent, that is up for personal interpretation and perspective, so I'll leave that subject alone for now...

Another concept that often gets overlooked, is the possibility that some aliens may not travel through space, they may travel through dimensions. If so, it would have sort of a blink effect upon the arrival and exit between dimensions; sort of like, one second you see a UFO hovering in the sky, then presto, it is gone. In that sense, the craft occupies the same coordinates upon departure, but it changes the dimension in which its coordinates are in.

This top secret video via Area 51 will also show the alien go into seizure, and the interview was quickly aborted. They can only communicate through telepathy, outside of picture writing / hieroglyphics, so a telepath is needed. As was mentioned in the video, the staff at Area 51 mostly contains people of average intelligence, and all this information they are hiding, would come to great use if it got into the hands of the competent intellect that actually cared about humanity as a whole. Until the day comes, when all secrets are revealed, and we unite and learn together while destroying some of these stupid beliefs that we are alone in the universe, we can look at each other as "Earthmen" or "Earth People" and not this, that, or some other stupid title or silly name.

I've always thought that it would do mankind some good, if we were possibly threatened (not destroyed) or openly visited by a race of aliens (perhaps land on top of the White House, for starters), so we could put our Earth-bound bias to rest. Hey, sort of like the movie entitled "Independence Day." Anyway, that is enough chatter for now...

Mysterious Stonehenge - Flying Saucers & Druids

The reason for the circular pattern of what remains of the Stonehenge today, along with the fact that these massive stones were transported for miles & miles, is very mysterious to us - even to this day. How did the so-called "primitive" ancient man have the ability to move such stones and construct a Stonehenge with that much accuracy and precision? Did some other type of lifeform build this? Or did mankind have help from an advanced alien race of beings that came here from another planet within the galaxy? It's at least possible...

Although, nobody knows for sure why the Stonehenge, Egyptian Pyramids, Easter Island sculptures, and so many other mysterious constructions were ever built or even how they could have been fabricated with such intellectual craftsmanship.

Below, I'll provide a couple images of the Stonehenge, and I'll give a link to a short story (which is now Part 2 of this post, down below) that theorizes that the giant stones containing bluestone, constructed in such a fashion, were once used as a power network for flying saucers from long ago.

[Link is currently not active since I deleted that website, but it is now Part 2 of this post, below...]

Part 2: "Flying Saucers and Druids"

The old man watched from clouded grey eyes as the great saucer-shaped starship angled, soft as a whisper, over the rugged Cornish countryside, then leveled out towards the standing stones no faster than a trotting pony. "It's good," the old Druid whispered.  Then he turned to the thin, shivering boy at his side and said: "Light the signal fire."
The boy touched his torch to oil - cupped in a hollowed-out rock.  Noiselessly the ship came to a halt in a beam of dazzling light.  The old Druid watched the creature that walked from the light towards the standing stones.  When the astronaut was a few yards away, the old man spoke:
"Welcome, my lord...a thousand times welcome..."

Those standing stones, a 32-foot-tall sculpture of seven saucer-shaped rocks, one piled on top of the other, can still be seen today on England's wild Cornish moors.  For centuries it has attracted the attention of travelers, who wonder how the thing can possibly stand with the great weight of the top saucer - some 700 tons - resting as it does on the smaller stones that form the slender middle and base.  At the upper right of the topmost stone, there is a small depression, used for burning sacrificial oil, chosen so that the smoke would rise up into the air.

How could these ancient Druids, 2000 years ago, have raised that 700-ton saucer 30 feet into the air without modern equipment?
In Ireland, a similar saucer, called the Stone of Clogher, was held in such high esteem by the Druids that they covered it entirely with gold!
Many of these monuments, called Logans, some of them so vast that they look like natural rock formations reaching towards the sky, still stand in the southeast of England.

Long after the Druids were gone, wiped out by the advance of Christianity, local people still gathered at the saucers to collect rainwater - which gathered in the basins.  It was said to have the power to cure illness and, as late as the 1880s, was often given to sick children.

There are two ancient astronaut theories regarding the Druids and their incredible powers:
The first is that ancient astronauts visited Cornwall 2000 years before the [supposed] birth of Christ and gave the tribal priests, the Druids, vast powers that helped pull their people from a dark, barbaric age, and gave them the ability to make huge advances in farming, building, and technology.  In gratitude, the Druids raised the great saucer monuments, honoring the disc-shaped starships.
The second theory is that the Druids themselves were the direct descendants of ancient astronauts and had vast powers which were slowly bred out of them over the succeeding generations.  However, the Druids marshaled their tremendous energies one last time and built the saucer monuments, perhaps in hope of summoning back the long-gone flying saucers and great starships that visited them in the past which were, by then, nothing more than a fading memory.

Either of those theories are plausible.  Certainly, by the time the Romans arrived in Britain, the Druids showed no signs of possessing "supernatural" powers and were routinely slaughtered by the conquering legions.  Of course, there are other standing stones in England, the most famous of which is Stonehenge, which predates the Druids and saucer-worship by thousands of years but still has strong links with ancient astronauts.

The distinguished scientist, Dr. Gerald S. Hawkins, proved by computer that Stonehenge was once used by the ancients as an astronomical computer of great accuracy. But the most shattering discovery made so far, is that Stonehenge is just one link in a gigantic Power Network!

Retired English lawyer John Williams, studied the relationships of more than 3000 standing stones and stone circles on government survey maps.  He proved that all the standing stones and stone circles are aligned to each other at exactly a 20-mile distance and at an angle to each other of just over 23 degrees, which is the axis tilt of the earth!

Williams doggedly photographed thousands of the standing stones, and many of his photographs show a dark blue, fog-like band across them.  His camera and films were in perfect shape, and a friend using a different camera & film obtained the same results. Scientists who studied the pictures, came to the same conclusion:  the standing stones, many of which contained quartz, were emitting ultraviolet rays!
Williams says that the standing stones and stone circles are the remains of a power network, and that the roofing stones on top of Stonehenge were "rocking stones" that started the whole network operating.  The fact that Stonehenge was once used as a great astronomical computer is mind-boggling, but the disclosure that it had a dual purpose as a vital link in a power network is simply staggering in its implications!

Williams, as far back as 1951, said that the construction of Stonehenge for its amazing dual purpose, required advanced mathematics - the work of vastly advanced, alien super-beings. It would have been a formidable task to raise those huge stones by manual labor alone; it would have been the work of centuries.

Could they have been lifted by anti-gravity machines or slung under the bellies of glittering starships and/or flying saucers? And why did the builders mysteriously transport bluestone 148.8 miles from Pembrokeshire when large quarries of excellent building rock are found just 19 miles from Stonehenge?  These are questions that may never be answered.

One thing is certain:  bluestone contains high quantities of quartz and emits large amounts of ultraviolet radiation.  Was it this radiation, flowing from the countryside power network, that in fact powered the demands of an advanced race of beings?
Stonehenge was several millennia old when the Druids first erected their saucer monuments. Once the Romans destroyed the stone circles, and their Druid attendants, the power source was gone.

Editor's Comment:
Outside of the fact that flying saucers would already have their own power source available within the crafts, most likely a 100% efficient anti-gravity machine along with some type of zero-point free energy, it still raises many questions. This particular chapter covered an excellent subject, as in: just how in the hell did some of these ritual-looking sites like the Stonehenge, along with other bizarre "constructions" (not mentioned on this page) like ancient artifacts, Egyptian pyramids, and whatnot, that still remain from ancient times, ever get erected & created without the help of an advanced race of aliens?  Even if we accept the fact that they did have help, the next mystery in line is...why???

Alien Visitors

A while back, I re-typed several creative stories from a mini pamphlet (that was dated somewhere around 1990) into a section of another website of mine. I more or less gave a critique throughout the 11 chapters with editor interjections and editor comments amid the original content. The basis of the short stories is stemmed from the possibility of having alien visitors, extraterrestrial help, and so on, down through the ancient times of Earth and its inhabitants that dwelled therein.

In my opinion, when concerning chapters 1-11, it started off very interesting, became a little hooey in the middle chapters, and got back on track towards the end. The main part I didn't like was that it, especially midway through, tried too hard to fuse the Holy Bible into its alien theories - my least favorite chapters were #6 & #7 ('Alien Encounter' & 'Spreading the Word via UFO').
But all in all, it made for an entertaining, thought-provoking read and it also contained many quotes from old books along with people in the scientific community, so the references sort of balanced out. I'll provide the link in a moment...

To me, anyone who denies the possibility of life on other planets or the fact that we have had space travelers visit our tiny planet throughout the timetables of history and during the prehistoric era, must be either extremely arrogant or ignorant, and possibly both.  I also don't deny the idea that many of the ancient writings, including the Holy Bible, religious texts and even cave paintings for that matter, may have been affected and/or influenced by visitors from another planet.   In fact, I'm sure there have been alien visitors from multiple races and planets, and so on.  It is an interesting subject, nonetheless...

Chapter 3 - The Alien Visitor (Creative Short Story)

This world was shapeless, unformed, primitive...  There was just one land mass surrounded, as she'd seen from the plexiglass observation bubble of her orbiter, by a green, heaving sea.  The land itself was in the process of creation.  Great masses of molten rock were being thrust upwards from the ocean floor, erupting here and there in gigantic volcanoes.  More than anything else, it was the molten lava from the volcanoes, cooling and hardening as it hit the sea, that was forming the solid land...land that over millions of years would split & divide and form vast continents.

The dominant life form then, if you could call it that, was an arthropod with a distinctive three-lobed, three-segmented form.  "Like this world itself," she recorded into her ship's memory banks, "the arthropod is primitive and shows no signs of intelligence.  Each of its body segments has a pair of jointed appendages.  The forward appendages are modified into sense and feeding organs.  Most of these creatures have a pair of compound eyes, though some are blind..."

She gripped the arms of the chair as another earth tremor rocked the tiny orbiter, and she felt the craft lift itself a few feet from the outcrop of rock that jutted precariously out over the ocean and hover briefly till the tremor died away.

The little shuttle then settled itself back onto the rock, the automatic pilot light in the cabin turning from red to green. "Autopilot on standby," the computer told the astronaut unnecessarily, and she frowned in slight annoyance as she resumed dictating into the ship's memory banks:  "The arthropods are active predators, but some appear to be plankton feeders..."  She sighed and brushed her flaming red hair away from emerald green eyes.  The hand she used was long and slim, the middle of her seven fingers bearing the simple platinum and diamond band of the Space Academy.

"I know I am here as part of a plan to find worlds where advanced life forms can be seeded to grow and flourish, and I am happy to accept that responsibility.  But..." [She looked out of the plexiglass at the distant volcanoes and the scurrying, mindless arthropods, bustling between the ocean and the land.] "...But I doubt that I have found such a world here."

Yet she was keenly aware of her duty, which was to take a closer look at the planet.  And, despite the obvious dangers, that meant physically getting out of the orbiter......

She removed her silver-colored boots and put on a pair of simple sandals, because she felt these would give her a better foothold on the slippery rocks.  At her command, the orbiter let down a short ladder and she climbed down onto the rock.  She walked slowly, feeling her way in the murk, towards the base of the outcrop.  Tall, and incredibly beautiful in her glittering, climate-controlled spacesuit, she quickly realized she had made a mistake in her choice of footwear.  The barely cooled volcanic rock under her feet was searing hot.

The alien turned and walked quickly back towards the orbiter; she needed boots for this work! It was then, unnoticed by her, that her right foot stepped in a puddle of liquid mud - right on top of a voraciously feeding arthropod...

She had no way of knowing it then, but the accidental death of that lowly arthropod was the first domino that tipped over, starting a chain reaction that lasted millions of years and altered the history of the earth, eventually paving the way for mankind.  Science tells us that time travelers who might one day visit the distant past could alter the course of world history simply by bending a single blade of grass or stepping on a scurrying ant.

---Editor Interjects:  That last sentence is best used to demonstrate that minor events of the past can have major impacts in the future.  Other than that, as much as I enjoy sci-fi flicks featuring time travel, I cannot accept any theories of travelling back into time.  I can see, at best, being able to leap or travel into the future via wormhole or by other means, but never backwards. Plus, whether it was the crafty humanoids from planet Earth or some alien visitor, if we had the ability to go back into the past and change stuff, the cosmos would have already turned into one great universal cataclysmic disaster.  ---

Who knows what tremendous forces the death of that single, primitive animal set in motion? There is also the intriguing possibility that the arthropod was not killed entirely by accident...but was the major motivating factor of a divine plan for this planet of ours.

The footprint the alien left in the mud and the trilobite she accidentally killed, happened 570,000,000 years ago. ...How do we know? Because her fossilized footprint and the dead arthropod are still with us!  In June 1968, an amateur fossil hunter named William Meister uncovered the footprint near Delta, Utah.  The print clearly shows the impression of a sandaled foot 10 inches long and a little more than 3 inches wide. The heel, as is normal in human footprints, is indented more than the toes.

The print was examined by a consulting geologists from Arizona, and by the Anthropology department of the University of Utah, and news of the amazing find was published in the Deseret News, a paper that covers that area. The fossilized footprint was discovered embedded in solid rock after Meister had split the rock with his hammer.  The incredible fossil clearly shows that a sandaled foot had stepped on a trilobite.  The rock is estimated by scientists to be almost 600 million years old; and trilobites, small marine arthropods, the remote ancestor of crabs and shrimps, have been extinct for almost 300 million years.

One scientist said at the time of the discovery:  "Of course, whoever or whatever stepped on the trilobite couldn't be human as we understand the term.  But the question remains:  what DID leave that footprint?" Mankind, human beings, didn't evolve on Earth until a mere 2.4 million years ago, give or take a millennium or two, and indeed did not wear footwear of any kind until a few thousand years before the birth of Christ.  The eerie fossilized footprint is spectacular evidence that the earth must have been visited by ancient astronauts in the unthinkable distant past.

The probability is that the descendants of that beautiful, flame-haired alien continued to visit this planet, engineering the landscape and genetically improving the dominant life form till man became an intelligent, thinking being with the potential to find his own way among the glittering reaches of the distant stars.

Editor's Comment:
This little creative story could very well be possible, in the sense that this planet was visited by aliens even during Earth's utmost early stages of planetary development.  To me, however, with it being so hot, violent, and tempestuous, it would seem less likely that the intentions of the visits were initially for the sake of man, as the surrounding conditions were far, far away from our suitability.  Either way, you can rest assured we have had many visitors......

Chapter 4 - Japanese Records - The Extraterrestrials

The Japanese, a methodical race, are a researcher's dream, thanks to their tradition of recording historical events in minute detail without embellishment.

In the late 1970s, some documents were found which reported that ancient Japan was visited by visitors from outside our solar system, nearly 1,000 years ago.

Norihiro Saito, an authority on ancient Japanese records and history - and an outspoken critic of UFO and ancient astronaut theories - was dismayed to discover that the documents clearly showed that aliens visited Japan around the year 1000, and again in the 17th century, and had made some determined, but unsuccessful attempts to communicate with Earthmen.

"I admit the discovery of these documents upset me because they contradict my own long-held theories; but I will defend their authenticity to any authority," said Saito.

Saito says that the first UFO reference he found was in a Hioseji Temple Chronicle, released in what would have been August of 1015 A.D.  Part of it reads: "According to the commander of the left guard post, he observed two bright objects come at each other in the heavens and exchange fire at one another.  He said both objects approached each other slowly at first, and upon reaching a distance of about 10 meters they stopped in mid-air and let out tiny star-like objects that went between the larger objects.  Then the two larger objects flew away at tremendous speeds.  After the episode, the sky clouded up with a thick smoke.  It was reported that many farmers of the area also witnessed the phenomenon."

The temple document is clearly referring, say scientists, to a pair of mother ships which launched smaller probes carrying one or two aliens to carry out low level explorations of the planet. Many of the documents of this period contain references to "Utsuro Banjin."  'Utsuro' literally means "space vessel," or more correctly "star ship," and Banjin means "savage female."

It was the custom at this time for the Japanese to refer to all foreigners as Banji (barbarians).  So, the "savage female" was clearly the "foreign barbarian from the star ship."

The first records of Japanese Close Encounters of the Third Kind were published during the Edo era which began around 1603 and lasted till well into the 19th century.  Both records are from Volumes 1 and 2 of the Japan Zuihitsu Taisei, and appear with the original drawings of saucer-shaped space craft made by the contactees.

One of the sightings was made by the samurai Etchunokami Ogasawara, who reported seeing a "flying bowl" off the beach of Harayadori in the province of Hitachi in northern Japan. "I saw the object land in the water far offshore and ordered the local fishermen to go out in their boats and pull the object onto the beach," he wrote.

He also went on to say: "When [the fishermen] finally managed to bring the object ashore, they measured its length at over three ken (18 feet).  The upper part was made of sliding glass windows with resinous frames and its bottom was braced with strips of metallic plates.  When the fishermen looked into the transparent upper dome, they were shocked to see a strangely shaped women inside the craft."

Ogasawara said that the woman was strangely dressed and had dazzling blue beads sewn into her garments, which were a shimmering green color.  The woman's hair was white in color and looked false, and the samurai said her face was "difficult to describe..."

"The woman arose from the craft carrying a black box about two shaku (two feet) long.  The box was rectangular in shape and gave out a strange sound, like the ringing of crystal.   The woman spoke but we could not understand her, then she pointed to the inside of the craft which was covered in strange writing.  The fishermen became very frightened and ran to a nearby village for help, returning two hours later with the local mayor and a detachment of soldiers.  ...But by the time the soldiers arrived at the beach, the woman and her craft were gone," Ogasawara said.

This incident happened in late winter, when snow lay thick on the ground, and news of the encounter spread slowly.  ...But a few hours after the first sighting, an almost identical craft landed on a beach several hundred miles away, again near a highly populated area. This time the strange woman stood beside her craft, and when the local peasants came closer they were amazed to see her carrying a black, rectangular "humming box."

The woman held out the box towards the villagers and said something in a foreign tongue, and this was enough to send them fleeing back to their homes while in a state of absolute terror. According to the records, neither the woman, her craft or the mysterious humming box was ever seen again, and no more UFO sightings appear in the writings.

Japan, which spent centuries isolated from the rest of the world, appears to have been one of the few places where space aliens have made a genuine attempt to communicate with Earthmen; but that country's traditional fear and distrust of "hairy barbarians" - from the stars or anywhere else - unfortunately made this communication impossible.

Closer to our own time, Commodore Perry of the United States Navy had a similar difficult time trying to break through Japan's tradition of isolation. It's a sobering thought that just 400 years ago mankind here on Earth may have lost a golden opportunity to communicate with intelligent creatures from beyond the stars.  We must never pass up such an opportunity again......

Editor's Comment:
I find this whole scenario to be very plausible.  These Japanese records reflect something that is all so very common with mankind, in which describes even today's Earth People's most readily acted reaction to anything that is considered to be outside the normality of mundane thoughts or situations.  The majority of Earth's dwellers have a limited perception of actuality and reality, so being faced with extraterrestrials, whether it be today or in the past, must beckon for bedazzlement in all senses of the term; but sadly, fear and/or violence would most likely be the most common reactions for the majority of mankind.  This, however, for good or bad, dampens our advancement that could possibly lead to a greater universal awareness. Hmm, the question is:  "Are you ready for such an encounter?"
