Good Starter / Beginner Books for UFOs & Aliens

On this post, I will talk about a few different types of books that cover the UFOs & Aliens subject. I will also explain why each one makes the cut for being in a good 5-book starter kit for the beginner. In addition to that, I will provide several more recommendations for other books of similar quality along with the more elaborate, advanced reading material, etc.

First up, as eccentric as it sounds, is "Secret Journey to Planet Serpo." Even if a person doesn't believe that this is an actual true story of interplanetary travel, there is a reason it is on this list. The actual "journey" probably only makes up about 1/3rd of this 282-page book. The reason this is a good starter book for everything extraterrestrial, is the first 90 pages in the Prelude.

It provides an excellent refresher course for some of the history surrounding this subject. It covers the various topics of Germany (German disc technology and more), Antarctica (Nazi Base, Operation Highjump, etc.), Roswell, The Ronald Reagan Briefings, Los Alamos, Kingman (another UFO crash site), John F. Kennedy (DIA involvement, MJ-12, and so on) and a detailed Appendix section with a lot of additional information. It even has a chapter at the end of the book about Steven Spielberg and his movie "Close Encounters of the Third Kind."

I actually first wrote about this book a few years ago, along with a quick link to easily purchase, here: Interplanetary Travel - Secret Journey to Planet Serpo

#2 - The Day After Roswell - This is definitely a good starter book when it comes to aliens & UFOs turning into Research & Development (R & D). Even if you are not a beginner, you will enjoy the fact that all of this information comes from a former Pentagon Official. Col. Philip J. Corso not only reveals the U.S. Government's UFO cover-up, but he also provides a lot of detail on how a multitude of modern technology came from the reverse-engineering process within the R & D programs. Integrated circuit chips, fiber optics, lasers, super-tenacity fibers, enhanced night vision and much, much more. This book will really give you a better understanding of our "technological boom" we had several decades ago.

There are many other subjects within this book outside of technology. Roswell crash site remains, the Cover-up, UFOs, aliens (EBEs), space defense programs, Tesla's Death Ray, Project Moon Base, U2 Program and Project Corona, the Other Cold War, and so much more.

#3 - Dreamland - Autobiography by Bob Lazar - No UFO fanatic should have a bookshelf void of this guy. Although this particular book doesn't have much detail about actual aliens, it has a lot of good details about the experience Bob Lazar had at S-4 while trying to reverse engineer alien technology, etc. It also outlines a lot of the trouble that comes from top secret operations, how everything is way too compartmentalized, and so on. Many people in the past used to think he was a fraud, but his story has remained the same, decade after decade. I once wrote about this subject a few years ago, here: Was Bob Lazar one of the greatest UFO frauds? Either way, if you like UFOs, this is an excellent book for your starter collection.

#4 - The Interrupted Journey - Two lost hours aboard a UFO - The Abduction of Betty & Barney Hill - No stack of books about UFOs & Aliens are complete without some abduction material. The author of Incident at Exeter (another book in the extraterrestrial genre), John G. Fuller, did an excellent job of putting this all together. This was perhaps the first widely publicized alien abduction account that went global. This whole event occurred late one night on September 19th and into the early morning hours of September 20th, 1961. They later made a movie of this, as it was based off the book. Of course, the book will have way more detail.

Betty & Barney Hill were very credible people, which added believability to the story. Barney didn't want to believe this event even happened, nor did he want publicity. This story has the classic abduction events such as missing time, amnesia, medical examinations, etc. Under hypnosis, they revealed their missing time, which was approximately two lost hours. I once wrote about that subject, here: "Quantum Hypnotic Regression Therapy & Hypnosis for Alien Abductions."

#5 - Onboard UFO Encounters - authored by Preston Dennett - Some may disagree with this book making the list for good starter / beginner books for this subject, but it compliments many of the alien abduction stories that already exist out there. The main reason I put it on this list, is that it exercises your rational mind and helps gather common denominators, details, etc., when it comes to UFOs and Aliens. It helps you build a basis for what could be real and what is most likely a made-up story.

I currently only own two of Preston Dennett's books, but he has published many more than that. It seems that there isn't much of a filter in the two books I have of his, as it appears that anybody with a story can get published in them. The other one I have is over 500 pages long and it is called "The Healing Powers of UFOs - 300 true accounts of people healed by extraterrestrials." I really doubt if those two books are 100% true accounts, which is another reason I like them. They are quite entertaining. It sort of leaves it to the reader to try and separate fact from fiction. Which is ultimately why they are included here because that is an excellent way to dabble into these subjects, especially if you are a beginner. Sometimes it's good to get hit from all directions to find out which way to go. Ha!

As for more elaborate and advanced reading, well, it depends on which direction you favor or which area you get stuck at. Dr. Michael Salla has an excellent Secret Space Programs Series. I've currently been glancing at book three from that series, "Antarctica's Hidden History." You may prefer more advanced reading about Zero Point Energy. Moray B. King writes really well about that (ZPE) subject, and he has a book called "Quest for Zero Point Energy." Paul A. LaViolette, PhD, has an extremely detailed book called "Secrets of Antigravity Propulsion." If you are more into military documents and government top secrets concerning this subject, Steven M. Greer has a really big book called "Disclosure."

After reading so much about UFOs and the advanced mind-power of aliens, telepathy, etc., you may end up branching off from this subject altogether and start studying mental aspects and possible advancements of the mind. I haven't read it yet, even though I bought a copy, but David Morehouse, PhD., has a highly recommended book about Remote Viewing - "The Complete User's Manual for Coordinate Remote Viewing." On another 'power of the mind' subject, Robert Peterson has a book called "Hacking the Out of Body Experience."

To end this post, if you want to just sum everything up into one crazy book without studying or learning anything, I suggest that you read the book called, "44 - An Ex-Soldier's True Story - Lifelong encounters involving alien abduction, men in black, a serial killer, and persecution by the Freemasons." Ha! I actually read that book this summer, since I finally had some free time. Holy crap! There weren't many dull moments in that insane book, let me tell ya! Of course, it didn't specialize in anything either nor will you learn very much, but it was entertaining, nonetheless.

Nazi Bell Project - Time Travel Experiments

Side Note: This is an old blog entry that I relocated here from a website of mine that I deleted. The original date of this post was: November 12th, 2012.

I have read many things and even watched a few videos about this mysterious project, and I'm yet to get any conclusive proof that the Nazi Bell Project was successful or what its exact purpose was.  Some people think it never even happened, label it as a myth, and may even tell you to put on a tinfoil hat, etc.

Anyway, I do find the whole concept to be very interesting.  When it comes to time travel experiments, there are loads of rumors.  Many of which, give hype to the Montauk Project.  The Montauk Project has been purported to be a series of secret United States government projects conducted at Camp Hero or Montauk Air Force Station on Montauk, Long Island. It is often listed as just another conspiracy theory, but it's also claimed by many people to be a well-kept secret and highly guarded project by the government.  This particular project was supposedly designed for the purpose of developing psychological warfare techniques and exotic research including time travel.

...Many of these types of rumors often end up relating and/or coming back to the famous "Philadelphia Experiment."

Although many people label this experiment as a hoax, the "Philadelphia Experiment" is a naval military experiment alleged to have been carried out at the Philadelphia Naval Shipyard in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA sometime around October 28, 1943. It is alleged that the U.S. Navy destroyer escort USS Eldridge was to be rendered invisible ("cloaked") to enemy devices.

The experiment is also referred to as Project Rainbow...  The experiment was allegedly based on an aspect of the unified field theory, a term coined by Albert Einstein. The Unified Field Theory aims to describe mathematically and physically the interrelated nature of the forces that comprise electromagnetic radiation and gravity, in other words uniting the fields of electromagnetism and gravity into one field. Consequently, if light was bent, then space-time would be bent, effectively creating an invisible time machine, at least in theory.

There is a lot of gray area here, concerning this particular project.  One could always try to read and watch videos about this topic, all while sorting through the loads of baloney.  If you're interested in hearing more about the Philadelphia Experiment, Wikipedia has a fair amount of information, here:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Philadelphia_Experiment

Before we go any further, you may want to freshen up on some of the concepts of time travel.  I've never had a problem with concepts that relate to travelling into the future, but for any humanoid to have the ability to travel into the past, well, just doesn't seem possible due to there being too many things that can go wrong, to put it bluntly.  Dimensional travel is another subject entirely, but we won't go there today...  I have written a blog post in the past, that covered some of these topics, here:

"4th & 5th Dimensions, Time Travel & Parallel Universes"

Of course, if you'd like an elaborate version that speaks about several of the aspects involving time machines and time travel, you will definitely have to research further.

Now, what about this Nazi Bell Project?  First off, when researching this subject, remember that many folks refer to it as "Die Glocke," which is German for "the bell." This was allegedly an experiment carried out by Third Reich scientists working for the SS in a German facility known as Der Riese ("The Giant") near the Wenceslaus mine and close to the Czech border, Die Glocke is described as being a device "made out of a hard, heavy metal" approximately 9 feet wide and 12 to 15 feet high having a shape similar to that of a large bell.

According to Cook, this device ostensibly contained two counter-rotating cylinders which would be "filled with a mercury-like substance, violet in color. This metallic liquid was code-named "Xerum 525" and was otherwise cautiously stored in a tall thin thermos flask a meter high encased in lead."

Additional substances said to be employed in the experiments, referred to as Leichtmetall (light metal), "included thorium and beryllium peroxides." Cook describes Die Glocke as emitting strong radiation when activated, an effect that supposedly led to the death of several unnamed scientists and various plant and animal test subjects. Based upon certain external indications, Witkowski states that "the ruins of a metal framework in the vicinity of the Wenceslas mine (aesthetically dubbed "The Henge") may have once served as test rig for an experiment in "anti-gravity propulsion" generated with Die Glocke; others, however, dismiss the derelict structure as simply being a conventional industrial cooling tower."

When I mentioned "the henge," I'm talking about a structure that was supposedly used to hang this bell when doing experiments in time and/or anti-matter/anti-gravity propulsion tests or whatever.  The more I read about it, I don't know if it was a bomb, a flying craft or a dang time machine!  Maybe it was all three, I don't know...  At any rate, before I continue, I'll provide an image of the henge that was possibly used (at least it's what some people think its purpose was) for these experiments in time or for whatever else during the Nazi Bell Project, below:

Another good source for reading about many of the lost technologies the Germans may have possessed, is the book entitled "Hitler's Suppressed and Still-Secret Weapons, Science and Technology."  That book is packed full of tidbits about German Technology and leaves one to re-think the possibility that they were helped with alien technology.  That book inspired me to write a couple other articles:  "German Scientists, Hitler, Aliens, Secret Weapons & Lost Technology" and "Lake Vostok - Mystery at Antarctica."

Anyway, from the book I mentioned prior, Chapter 35, Experiments in Time, provides a few interesting pages about the Nazi Bell Project.  To add to the mystery, without talking about all the potential underground facilities used to conduct many of these exotic experiments, it has also been said that many people believe that the Germans also experimented with what they called "interdimensional trips," during that certain time frame of massive advancements.  Wow!  Who really knows?

Oh, I did find a fairly resourceful and elaborate page about the Nazi Bell Project that wasn't a Wikipedia article, here:  https://sites.google.com/site/naziabomb/home/nazi-bell-project-background [Link is no longer active.]

Moving right along, and trying to be as short as possible while providing useful resource links, what about the UFO with an acorn and/or bell-like shape that crashed-landed several years ago?  I'm speaking about the Kecksburg UFO - 1965, Kecksburg, PA, USA; residents observed a fiery object streak through the sky and fall to earth.  Military investigated the quarantined area, while officers secretly removed the object from the earth.  It was said to be 9 feet long, bronze colored and shaped like an acorn with unusual symbols on it.  If you're curious about this subject, not only can you find some written material about it, Unsolved Mysteries aired a show about this, several years ago.  Surely there is a YouTube video about it, as well.

When concerning the Kecksburg UFO, was that the missing Bell from the Nazi Bell Project or was it a completely separate alien craft or perhaps a manned or non-manned drone craft?  So many questions...  Well, I hope this page has got your imagination cranked up, and good luck trying to find the truth of the matters along with trying to piece some of this crap together. Cheers!

Lake Vostok - Mystery at Antarctica

Side Note: I relocated this blog entry from an old website of mine that I previously deleted. The original date of this post was: March 3rd, 2013

Many of you have heard about strange occurrences and natural phenomenon existing in Antarctica along with wild rumors of a portal that leads to an inner world, Hitler’s underground base, etc. To make things even more interesting, many Ufologists have mentioned UFOs originating from this area among other bizarre things that relate to this region…

Anyway, I first stumbled upon the mystery Lake Vostok on chapter 31, "What is happening in Antarctica?" from the book Hitler’s Suppressed and Still-Secret Weapons, Science and Technology.

A few years ago, an anonymous letter was written to Scientific America describing something that was somewhat strange. The report came out of Australia’s Casey Station in Antarctica. To make it short, two women were trying to ski across Antarctica when they were stopped in their tracks. A U.S. Navy Special Forces team, working out of American Samoa, abducted the women, against their will, and under protest from the crew at the Australian Casey Station. The two adventurous women were then held in seclusion for reasons never given! The source for that report: “The Secret of Lake Vostok,” William P. Eigles, Atlantis Rising (magazine), number 29, page 60.

To add even more mystery to the area, many folks, for a multitude of reasons, actually believe that the lost city of Atlantis is buried deep beneath the ice in certain areas of Antarctica. Did the Germans locate their base in this area because evidence was found for a lost civilization? Many theorize that this is where the Germans had contact with extraterrestrials, which helped them with the advancement in their science, technology and weaponry, etc.

There could be all kinds of stuff going on in this particular region, as the geothermal action is in abundance, hot water ponds, geothermal vents, and so on. But outside of these prior topics, what about the mystery lake known as Lake Vostok?

Well, the more I read about Lake Vostok, the stranger things seem to be… This is not an ordinary lake, by any means. It is hidden from view, due to being buried under the Continental Ice Sheet, with a roof of ice up to 2+ miles thick, in some areas. This mystery lake is about 2,000 feet deep and due to geothermal activity, although it is just 300 miles from the South Pole, it has a water temperature of 50 degrees Fahrenheit on average and, in some areas, it is up to 65 degrees – going by some of the resources I gathered that was written a few years ago.

Now, lets go back to thinking of a lake with a dome-like roof of massively thick ice. During the summer months, can you imagine this twilight world as the opaque dome allows just enough sunlight to pass through, to provide an eerie, early morning style of light? Can you say, uh, “a lost world?”

This same concept applies to the theory that there could possibly be life on other frozen planets and moons, if there is enough bottom-heating going on via geothermal energy/heat. Sort of like what many folks suspect to be happening on one of Jupiter’s moons, for example.

Without going into detail about all the research done in this area and involvement from certain “people” that would probably deny it or say that all research has been terminated, one may ask: What does this have to do with Atlantis or a possible underground city or lost civilization?

Well, due to a huge magnetic anomaly covering this area in Antarctica along with prior attempts from scientists to debunk such notions, the best reason one can give to try and explain the origin of this vast magnetic disturbance from this area, is to say it is due to the presence of a massive amount of metal, like a buried city, for example.

Was there an underground city built by the Germans or was it already there? Is this another one to blame on extraterrestrials? Is it an alien base?

Outside the mystery of Lake Vostok at Antarctica, we have yet another mystery going on here: The Antarctic seismographs are also very abnormal, which a lot of strange things have been noted by way of geological research from some very qualified researchers. Without all the science talk, in a thumbnail, some of the graphs show enormous long-wave energy, which is not natural, as if energy is being produced and/or fabricated from down below. If you need to research further, two of the researchers in this field were named Christian Saal and Kawi Schneider.

So whether or not Christian Saal’s or other researchers’ assumptions & explanations of this bizarre seismological activity is accurate or not, the data is still there and it shows something really odd going on in this area, one that remains “unexplained” by the authorities…

Well, after reading this, I’m sure many of you would like to start doing your own research about this mystery lake that is within Antarctica. Remember now, it isn’t just Lake Vostok that seems strange, but a whole host of other potential possibilities stem from this frigid continent. I’ll list a few links below, from search results, to get started…

Cancel that… After writing the rough draft for this blog post, I just wasted a lot of time reading from different websites and articles about this subject, only to find a lot of regurgitated drivel. I went back and changed what I had originally listed for the height of the ice roof over Lake Vostok, since today they have it being slightly thicker than what was once believed. Of course, like most subjects that relate to mystery or the unknown, you are not going to get a straight answer and, unless something “leaks,” it will be hard to find out if this area could possibly have an underground city near it, and so on.

Oh, I did find one interesting link, entitled “What’s Under Lake Vostok?” http://www.exohuman.com/wordpress/2011/02/whats-under-lake-vostok/ [Unfortunately, the link is no longer valid…]

After clicking on that link, you’ll see that things get more interesting when you get to the “Now for the real story, from 2003…” part, as it is pretty obvious how a lot of information can easily be altered, to say the least. The opening quote under that section: “Recently there have been several media reports about an anomaly discovered in the Antarctic region near Lake Vostok. Apparently, the site has been sealed off to the media and other scientists due to “environmental concerns.” The fact that the NSA has assumed jurisdiction over an environmentally hazardous site is raising eyebrows about what may be happening there.”

Update (11-16-2024): If you'd like to have some excellent reading material about numerous subjects involving this mysterious southern region of Earth, I'd suggest the book entitled "Antarctica's Hidden History" - Coporate Foundations of Secret Space Programs - by Dr. Michael Salla. To give you an idea of some of the subjects within that book, I'll list the table of contents, below:

1) The Enigmatic Thule Society: Antigravity, Hitler & the German Navy, 2) Role of U.S. Corporations in Nazi Germany, 3)German Companies Begin Operations in Antarctica, 4) The Nazi Retreat to Antarctica & South America, 5) The Secret Agreement: U.S. Military-Industrial Complex Collaboration in Antarctica, 6) Slave Labor in Antarctica, 7) German Secret Space Program & the Space Brothers, 8) Kennedy's Confrontation with the Fourth Reich, 9) Siemens Implicated in Tracking Forced Labor & Slaves in Space, 10) The Antarctic Treaty & Keeping the German Space Program Secret, 11)Lake Vostok Mystery & Ancient Ruins in Antartica, 12) Corey Goode's Covert Reconnaissance Missions to Antarctica, 13) Antarctica's Secret History as an Extraterrestrial Refugee Colony, 14) Antarctica, Demigods & the Book of Enoch, 15) Illegal R & D in Antarctica, 16) Antarctica's Suppressed History & Full Disclosure.

That particular 400+ page book would keep a person busy for a while, if one were to delve into all of those subjects. I've only skipped through various parts of the book, at the moment, but it looks interesting, nonetheless. ---End of Update

The Book of Ezekiel - Modern Spaceships - Ancient Aliens?

Side Note: I re-posted this article from another website of mine that I deleted a while back. The original date of this post was sometime during the year 2012. This is a shortened version of that page, along with a few edits, etc.

Let's say that many years from now, the Homo sapiens (today's version of man on planet Earth) has the ability to travel to other distant solar systems and once there, we find planets inhabited by alien, primitive beings (not the advanced ones that visit this planet). If this happens, there is a good chance the primitive native will see our people as "angels" with incredible supernatural powers, deem us as "the gods," and so on.

Actually, the whole idea of ancient aliens getting falsely identified as angels, gods or even demons is not that far-fetched of a notion. I've wondered before, if that isn't sort of how a lot of those Greek Gods came into Mythology.  Hmm, I don't know.  At any otherworldly rate, it is very interesting to think about nonetheless...

However, I must note: Even if there were alien beings flying around in UFOs during the past (they most likely were), it doesn't necessarily mean that they were messengers from God, either. On another note, were the descriptions like what is found in the Book of Ezekiel, simply some guy's creative imagination and savvy story-telling abilities using symbolic speak and prophetic gestures?

This particular page's topic is mostly about what was briefly described in the Book of Ezekiel, verses 1:4-28. Those particular verses have many ancient astronaut theorists all riled up, as it adds to the possibility that there may be proof in the Bible that there were aliens, spaceships (whether they describe modern craft and/or advanced UFOs, it is all the same considering the time period we're talking about here) visiting Earth, long ago, etc.

I think that if you read those English translated (or in raw form) Bible quotes with an open mind, it would be hard not to notice that Ezekiel described to the best of his ability and limited knowledge, some type of spaceships that came down from outer space. Some aspects of his descriptions sound more like modern aircrafts, while other details definitely sound like advanced technology from ancient aliens via sophisticated UFOs, etc.

Honestly, to think that aliens from another planet intentionally created the various religions on Earth, is hard for me to believe. I don't doubt that they have made it into the ancient texts and whatnot, and perhaps had some influence on today's various types of religions, but I wouldn't go much beyond that simple notion.

I have trouble reading a lot of the Old Testament, anyway.  I'm not a Bible scholar by no means, and I'm yet to read the whole book, although I need to, so I can have a more complete opinion on biblical subjects, beliefs, certain types of dogma, etc.

The Book of Ezekiel seemed to me, yet again, another violent, angry entry in the Old Testament that proclaims the wrath that God brings.

For example, one violent verse out of the many (Ezekiel 7: 8-9) says:  "Very soon now you will feel all the force of my anger.  I am judging you for what you have done, and I will pay you back for all your disgusting conduct.  I will not spare you or show you any mercy.  I am going to punish you for all the disgusting things you have done, so that you will know I am the Lord, and I am the one who punishes you." Wow! That would explain what happened at Sodom & Gomorrah. Ha!

That book is filled with starvation, disease, murders, and brutality from "the Lord."

How can God be so angry in the Old Testament and so soft, warm, loving and forgiving in the New Testament?  What, is this symbolic for Bi-Polar disorder or maybe I just haven't read enough, and I need to read the whole entire Holy Bible from cover to cover?

Anyway, outside of the promotions of violence and jealousies from the Book of Ezekiel, it does start off with some very interesting descriptions of what very well may have been modern spaceships like we are familiar with today.  We could also take this a step inward and say that perhaps there was an advanced, secret society living on some isolated, uninhabited area on or inside the Earth during those ancient times from a previously defunct civilization (that survived an ancient war and was exploring the planet).

Either way, there is a chance that Ezekiel may have been trying to tell what he saw and mislabeled some ancient aliens (or ancient humans) as God-like beings.  I assume the leader or commander of the spaceships was the one he was calling the Lord. Any further ideas about this subject are always welcome in the 'comment field' below...
